Outsiders vs. Insiders: No, Maxine Waters (and Democrats), God is definitely not on your side

“Bbbbuuuuuzzzzzzzzzzz … (a few seconds pause) …. BBBBUUUUUZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!!”

“Yeah, yeah, what is it now?” Nancy Pelosi snapped at the disembodied voice inside her office phone as she pressed the screening button, annoyed at yet another interruption on a stressful day. The Democrat House Maxine WatersMinority Leader had been engaged in a heated texting string with Chuck Schumer discussing how they might keep the current illegal immigrant family separation “crisis” going in the media.

‘Only a little over four months to November,’ Pelosi thought, thinking this issue may be her party’s best chance to finally stick a fork in the Republican majority and return her triumphantly to the leadership throne -- and the glorious media spotlight – which includes the Speaker’s gavel she so earnestly craves and richly deserves.

“Madame, pardon the interruption but Maxine’s at it again,” remarked Pelosi’s assistant in a sheepish voice, prematurely recoiling from the retort that would almost surely follow. Nancy’s secretary didn’t need to include the guilty member’s last name because in Democrat circles everyone knows who “Maxine” is. California Rep. Maxine Waters is truly one of a kind – uniquely outspoken and singularly insane, which makes for a particularly lethal combination in the public relations realm…a leader’s nightmare. She’s a separated at birth twin sister to hat wearing loon Frederica Wilson.

For months Waters has been at the forefront of the “impeach Trump” effort, making frequent media appearances and running her mouth as though it were an open spigot with no shutoff valve. Waters is the epitome of a loose cannon, a woman not living by another’s leave.

But she’s also African-American and popular among the Democrats’ most loyal ethnic voting bloc … ‘so I have to put up with her,’ Pelosi gestured to no one in particular with a roll of her eyes and a wave of her hand.

Pelosi re-pressed the intercom button, “Okay, come in here and tell me what Maxine did this time,” hoping against hope it wasn’t something so outlandish as to pull the faces of wailing and crying El Salvadoran children off the lead segment of every establishment evening news program. That would be catastrophic for the party...things are going so well … don’t let it end… the 78-year old shuttered at the thought.

“Maxine said ‘God is on our side,’ Madame future Speaker,” Pelosi’s assistant nervously explained, telling and then retelling the tale of Waters’ communal tantrum this past weekend. “Bring her to me,” Pelosi concluded the exchange.

--As we all now know, the news regarding Waters and her big mouth wasn’t good. We can only imagine how Pelosi really reacted when she heard about Waters’ most recent obnoxious faux pas, but it was probably with shock and horror at the stupidity of the whole episode.

Tyler O’Neil reported the other day at PJ Media, “Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) urged liberal protesters to harass members of the Trump administration, calling upon the name of God to encourage liberal activists that He is on ‘our side.’

“’Already, you have members of this cabinet that are being booed out of restaurants, who have protesters taking up at their house,’ Waters declared. She praised these protesters for chanting, ‘No peace! No sleep!’

“The congresswoman went on to attack Attorney General Jeff Sessions for quoting the Bible to defend enforcing immigration law. ‘While you try and quote the Bible, Jeff Sessions, and others, you really don’t know the Bible,’ Waters declared. ’God is on our side!’”

If Waters claimed Sessions doesn’t know the Bible – and she does – where in the Good Book does it say God’s children should go around screaming in other people’s faces (like a group of leftist freaks did to Florida’s Pam Bondi) and then harangue them until they’re forced to retreat to a more tranquil (and safe) location (like for Sarah Huckabee Sanders)? Further, does the Bible sanction gathering a crowd of people to picket the home of a public servant just for disagreeing over a political matter (like with Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen)?

Does the Bible call for vengeance against people who differ from your point-of-view? Hardly. The Bible teaches respect and tolerance for others and reverence for the Ten Commandments. Jesus preached that you should love God with all your heart and love your neighbor as yourself, which is kind of hard to do when someone’s shouting so loud that spittle is dribbling from his foaming mouth.

For her part Waters claims she wasn’t advocating violence last weekend. Her subsequent explanation was as humorous as her original call to action was frightening. William Nardi reported at the Washington Examiner, “Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., claims she never called for violence against the Trump administration after she called on Americans to band together to force Trump officials out of retailers, like department stores.

“’Trump is the one creating lies, tried to have people believe that I talked about harming people,’ Waters told reporters Monday while addressing the criticism she's faced for her comments. ‘There is nowhere in my statement anytime anyplace that we talked about harm and so our members of the Democratic congress are talking about civility, but protest is civility, protest is about peaceful resistance to the kind of actions that we are experiencing from this president.’”

Yes, it is true Trump jokingly referred to taking after protesters during a couple of his 2016 campaign rallies but at no point did he ever direct his supporters to go to Hillary Clinton’s or any Democrat’s home residence and disturb their peace. It also shouldn’t be forgotten that it wasn’t Trump supporters who showed up at Democrat assemblies to cause trouble and be arrested.

Making a spectacle of oneself is most assuredly a leftist tactic – if you don’t believe it just google “p-ssy hats” and see what images come up. The most disgusting (Antifa) of the haters’ shock forces wear masks, carry clubs and toss urine-filled balloon “bombs.” Democrat-supported radicals have also been known to pepper spray Trump backers and lord knows no temporary metal barrier is safe when the anarchist goons get their dander up.

Then there were the Mexican flag waving banditos that were a staple at the Democrats’ immigration “protests” of recent years. And we won’t even mention the Bernie Sanders- espousing psychopath James T. Hodgkinson, who shot-up a baseball diamond full of Republicans in Alexandria, Virginia last year and nearly took the life of Steve Scalise.

In reality Trump never advocated for physical violence any more than Ronald Reagan touted nuclear war when the legendary president teased (on an open microphone) in 1984, “My fellow Americans, I'm pleased to tell you today that I've signed legislation that will outlaw Russia forever. We begin bombing in five minutes…”

Trump and Reagan were clearly being facetious when they said those things. Maxine Waters was not. Nardi further reported, “Waters made headlines when she said at a rally over the weekend: ‘If you see anybody from the cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, and a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd to push back on them and you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere.’”

Gather a crowd? Push back? These statements aren’t inciting violence, Maxine? By whose estimation?

Didn’t the lynching tragedies in the Jim Crow era begin with “gathering a crowd,” Ms. Waters? How would you feel now if a “crowd” gathered in front of the Obamas’ schmaltzy Georgetown (DC) mansion to protest his failed policies that fueled racial tensions, trampled on traditional marriage, paved the way for transgenders in the military and promoted the killing of babies on a mass scale (abortion)?

How about Waters approving of “push back” against Trump’s people? Isn’t pushing actual physical violence?

By legal definition you commit battery if you merely touch a person with intent to harm (or even if they reasonably believe you meant to harm them). “Pushing” certainly qualifies as battery, so in essence Waters begged her audience to commit crimes while in the act of “resisting” Donald Trump’s personnel and policies. Then the California congresswoman had the nerve to claim she was only referring to nonviolent protest and “civility” among the Democrats.

This is how crazy it’s gotten, folks. And if you look at it historically, the left’s excess has been going on for over 50 years now. Patrick J. Buchanan wrote at The American Conservative, “Historians are calling the outbursts of hate unprecedented. They are not. In 1968, mobs cursed Lyndon Johnson, who had passed all the civil rights laws, howling, ‘Hey, hey, LBJ: How many kids did you kill today?’

“After Dr. King’s assassination, a hundred cities, including the capital, were looted and burned. Scores died. U.S. troops and the National Guard were called out to restore order. Soldiers returning from Vietnam were spat upon. Cops were gunned down by urban terrorists. Bombings and bomb attempts were everyday occurrences. Campuses were closed down. In May 1971, tens of thousands of radicals went on a rampage to shut down D.C.

“A cautionary note to progressives: extremism is how the left lost the future to Nixon and Reagan.”

Americans don’t like extremists and they certainly don’t take to being commanded to invade someone’s personal space because a wacko like Maxine Waters tells them to. Whereas conservatives tend to quietly sit on their grievances (bad), peacefully petition the government or protest with their feet when they’re upset, leftists think a more direct confrontational approach is preferable. To them, the louder they scream, harder they push or more trouble they cause wins acclaim with their Democrat party lackeys – but the public hates it.

Would conservative tea partiers have been more effective in the minds of average Americans if they’d torn up the national mall instead of cleaning up after their enormous gatherings? Should conservative politicians smash their podiums at the end of a speech like drug addled hippies ripping out seats at a “Who” concert?

Acting like an idiot won’t ingratiate yourself to the people that matter. Fortunately for Republicans and conservatives it’s a lesson Democrats never seem to learn.

Roger L. Simon wrote at PJ Media, “Trump is what the shrinks call the ‘presenting complaint.’  The real problem, as is often the case in psychotherapy, is something entirely different.  And it is this: The left is dead. It's not only dead, it's decomposed with no there there or anywhere.

“Only dopes or con artists believe in socialism anymore (hello, Venezuela!) and identity politics has been exposed as the racist shell game it is with blacks and Latinos actually doing better than they have in decades under the current pro-capitalist administration.

“So the left has nothing to say, only most of them don't quite realize it yet. But this blockage, this reluctance and even inability to deal with what is actually happening shuts down the brain and emerges as anger, the hamster wheel of constant rage against Trump.”

There’s a noticeable boost in the desperation level of liberals and Democrats as we head into summer (typically the slowest political season) and there’s nothing but good news in terms of the economy and foreign policy (Supreme Court upholds travel ban) for Trump and Republicans. This feeling of helplessness – and hopelessness – must be motivating the Trump haters to take more chances than they normally would. Something must be done to stop him; he’s too successful.

That being said, Maxine Waters is a nutcase any time of year.

Try as she might, Nancy Pelosi and her Democrats just can’t find anything to stick to Trump in the minds of the public. Now the left is taking off after administration surrogates Sarah Sanders, Pam Bondi, Kirstjen Nielsen and Stephen Miller, led by ultra-doofus Maxine Waters. Will they ever get it right?
