Join Christians And Jews United In Protest This Thursday At Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s Office

Democrats Anti-Semitism
Is the House of the People becoming a House of Jew-Hatred? It certainly appears to be based upon the silence of the Democratic leadership in the face of the overt anti-Semitism displayed by several of the Democratic Party’s most high-profile members, such as Representatives Ilhan Omar (MN-5) and Rashida Tlaib (MI-13).

In response to the growing anti-Semitism in the Democratic Party, Rabbi Aryeh Spero of the National Conference of Jewish Affairs has announced an emergency action in Washington and invites all who oppose anti-Semitism to come together on March 14, at 1pm outside Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi's office, 1236 Longworth House Office Building, 15 Independence Ave SE, Washington DC 20515.

In announcing the sit-in Rabbi Spero said, "Omar should be censured and, beyond that, removed from the powerful and influential House Foreign Affairs Committee that Speaker Pelosi surprisingly granted to this first-year legislator.  Omar's thinking, her conduct, and her blithe willingness to inject anti-Semitic tropes into the legislative process make her unfit to hold such a strategic position."

"Rep. Omar, and Rep. Tlaib, are employing the time-tested drip-by-drip method used successfully by Islamists in Europe against Jews and Israel. Week after week, poisonous remarks against Israel or Jews are made by Islamists with the goal being a continuous seepage of anti-Jewish caricatures into the political discourse and into the minds of a country's population. The apologies are insincere, an expedient; a breather until the next time. It's death by a thousand cuts to Israel and her supporters," said Rabbi Aryeh Spero, spokesman for the National Conference of Jewish Affairs.

“The unwillingness by the Democrat leadership to immediately denounce, specifically, the perpetrators and to stop this anti-Jewishness dead-in-its tracks is a worrisome sign that, as with their Labor Party counterpart in England, Corbyn-ism is far heavier in the Democrat Party than we thought. The Democrat leadership seems to be making a choice, preferring the inter-sectionality voting blocks in whom it envisions its future,” said Rabbi Spero according to reporting by IsraelNationalNews.com.

NCJA was also critical of Jewish organizations supportive of the Democratic party for failing to adequately pressure Democratic leadership.

“The Jewish organizational community, almost entirely liberal and Democrat, has not pressured the Democrat leadership in anyway near the degree they would have if the victim of hate were black, Muslim, Latino, or LGBTQ. Furthermore, there has been no unified call by the 36 Jewish Democrat members of Congress against Omar. Most liberal Jews seem unconcerned when anti-Semitism comes from the political Left, their home base.”

“It is also no surprise that Jewish organizational clout has diminished, since the Democrat leadership knows full well that Jewish votes and funding will continue as before. It always does. It seems that most Jews need the Democrat Party more than the Party needs them,” Rabbi Spero concluded.

Participants will sit-in at Nancy Pelosi's D.C. congressional office demanding the removal of anti-Semite Rep. Ilhan Omar from the influential House Committee on Foreign Relations.

WHAT:    Sit-in at Speaker Pelosi's DC office

WHEN:    Thursday, March 14, 1pm

WHERE:  1236 Longworth House Office Building, 15 Independence Ave SE, Washington DC 20515

The Thursday protest is a follow-up to Rabbi Spero’s powerful op-ed in the American Thinker in which he said:

“There is no question that Ms. Omar’s playing-innocent type of apologies are done in such a manner to momentarily quell the outcry against her remarks while assuring her base that she has not capitulated to the powers outside her community. Her nonchalant use of anti-Semitic stereotypes and language is furthermore disturbing for it reflects a communal comfort with and approval of anti-Semitic ideas that most Americans deem beyond the pale.

“Of course she should be censured and, beyond that, removed from the very powerful and influential House Foreign Affairs Committee that Speaker Pelosi surprisingly granted to this first-year legislator. Omar’s thinking, her conduct, and her blithe willingness to inject anti-Semitic tropes into the legislative process make her unfit to hold such a strategic position.

“She and Ms. Tlaib have come to Congress with an unprecedented brazenness, defiance, and impropriety that go beyond mere difference of opinion. Right out of the gate, both women have overridden expected norms as single-minded propagandists eager to use their presence and committee positions as platforms to propagandize against Israel, and Jews who support Israel, by making the heretofore unacceptable now acceptable.

“No one should be afraid to censure and remove Ms. Omar from the Committee as a way of stopping the drip-by-drip plot to sully Israel and the Jewish people; nor be afraid of being labeled ‘anti-woman,’ or ‘racist,’ or ‘Islamophobic.’ Her defenders, and organizations here such as CAIR, will label her censure indicative of the ‘power of the Zionists,’ but what it will in fact be is the power of justice and the American way.”

We urge all CHQ friends and readers who can get to Washington on Thursday to join the protest outside Speaker Pelosi’s office to make it clear to the Democratic Party’s leadership that this poisonous and un-American anti-Semitism will not be allowed to take root and grow here. For more information about participating in the protest contact: 929-417-0027 or [email protected] and if you cannot participate we urge you to Speaker Nancy Pelosi at (202) 225-4965 to demand Rep. Ilhan Omar’s censure and removal from the House Foreign Affairs Committee.
