I too am perfectly comfortable with a Hispanic female interpreting our laws. Her race and sex are not the issue at all. It is her desire to interpret the laws based on her race and sex that are disturbing. Laws are laws. They are concrete and should be fare and equal for everyone. They should never be adjusted based on race or sex. You are correct, we have become a secular nation. We will finally have truth and peace when Christ returns and not until then. Christians are aliens on this world which is ruled by Satan. You're either on God's team and different or wordly and for evil. It can't be both ways. At least you know who you are.

Ben Trovato is engaging in the left's favorite argument, namely "Shut Up!" If you're religious, if your reasoning is affected in any way by a religious system, you're supposed to "Shut Up!" about it, and pretend it means nothing to you. Why? Because Ben says so; because he thinks the US Constitutions PROHIBITS citizens from assessing things in this manner. Of course, the US Constitution says nothing within light years of what Ben thinks it does. Citizens are free to use whatever standards they think are relevant in assessing judges. The Constitution does not restrict citizens in any way (except to the extent that it defines which citizens may run for federal office); it's a document written to define and limit GOVERNMENT, not citizenry. If Dean Titus wanted to compare Justice Sotomayor to High Priestesses of Heckate, he would be entitled to do so under the Constitution, because the Constitution puts limits only on government, and Dean Titus is not the government. Fortunately, Dean Titus chooses a saner standard against which to compare Justice Sotomayor, that of Solomon and Moses. This is meaningful to those of us who regard Solomon and Moses as role models. Free citizens are entitled to state their opinions on any topic from any point of view, using any document or set of ideas they wish, regardless of Ben's misconceptions. Ben's mindless bigotry against religion and religious people forces him to spew hatred in our direction. And he must dress it up in Constitutional garb, lest we recognize it for the irrational poppycock that it truly is. His proper response, which he would follow if he were not boiling with irrational hatred, is to either ignore us, or to explain reasonably why he thinks Moses and Solomon are an unsound standard. Ben, please get a clue, and stop being such a bigot. If you don't like how religious people think, go read something that expresses ideas that suit you better. You're free. Nobody's forcing you to read this. But discussing whether Justice Sotomayor rises to a biblical standard for judges is our right under the First Amendment, which guarantees both freedom of speech and freedom of religion.

The ethnicity or race of a public servant should not be the issue, but unfortunately, Judge Sotomayor made it an issue with her comments and made it a key issue. The media and the U.S. citizens should be focused upon a candidate's qualifications; her past rulings; and the organizations that she's joined and her written opinions. President Obama sealed his theisis and his birth certificate which is a far cry from transparency. The people should not be misled and end up with activist judges who make up the laws as they go along; interpret the laws on the bench or re-write the laws on the bench by abusing their power and violating their oath of office. They swear to uphold the U.S. Constitution. For example, the judges and U.S. Justices have used every excuse and denied all lawsuits filed by reputable attorneys requesting the production of President Obama's birth certificate. Are the U.S. Justices fearful to hear this case for political or personal reasons? The laws include morals and common sense judgment calls, but many judges ignore these factors and dish out ego-justice without mercy or concern for the parties because some judges are complacent or prejudice, bias, or taking bribes or have political or personal agendas. Based on the decisions of the U.S. Justices and the courts, millions of innocent unborn babies and aborted babies are tortured and killed by abortion and if they live then they're left to die. And, we call ourselves a country who protects human rights? Women are posing nude for PETA and citizens are thrown in jail for accidentally harming an animal, but what about unborn babies who are found guilty even though they're innocent and sentenced to death without a fair trial and unable to defend themselves. Obama proposed the Global Poverty Act in Dec. 2007 and Biden supported this law. But, Obama didn't disclose his intention of signing it into law as an Executive Order if elected which he immediately did. Obama's law mandates that the U.S. President require the American taxpayers to pay for worldwide abortions as part of population control in foreign nations. So, it would stand to reason that Obama wants those of like minds in places of power such as a U.S. Justice. In fact, there are more babies being snuffed out by abortion than men killed at war. I guess one could call the slaughtering of innocent unborn or born aborted babies a silent genocide. A news article reported that worldwide abortions will cost the American people about $460,000,000 per year at a time when they're losing their jobs in double digits as well as their homes. Americans should inquire if the millions each year for worldwide abortions is included in Obama's healthcare reform proposal. By, the way, who gave the U.S. the right to slaughter unborn or born aborted babies in foreign nations? When did we become the Big Giant with Big Foot trampling on pregnant women in foreign nations? Abortions is a billion dollar business just waiting to happen around the globe funded by Uncle Sam and for-profit. Even Dr. Tiller stated that he cleaned up the babies and handed them wrapped in a blanket so the mothers could hold them and remember them, as well as took photos and even held services for the dead babies he aborted. President Obama said in his Father's Day speech that fatherhood started at "conception," so if Dr. Tiller and President Obama recognize that life starts at conception and unborn aborted babies are human beings after conception then how can abortion be considered legal in a Judeo-Christian country while simultaneously sending young men and women to fight for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness? In my opinion, this entire agenda has to do with population control and big money for government as well as control and oppressing Judeo-Christians, conservatives and a free nation, but it's only an opinion, not a fact.

I was excited to have a female judge. Darn. After hearing and seeing Sodomayer's stance, I decline. Someone that will be there until they die, needs to be some special person that doens't have side kicks.
