Poll: Conservatives Disagree with House GOP Leader John Boehner Saying President Obama Isn't a Socialist

An online poll conducted by the Web site ConservativeHQ.com found that a near-unanimous 95 percent of respondents disagreed with House Republican Leader John Boehner's recent statement that he did not consider President Obama to be a socialist.

When interviewed on NBC's Meet the Press on September 20, Boehner told moderator David Gregory that he did not consider Obama to be a socialist.  When pressed by Gregory, Boehner emphatically replied, "Well, listen, I didn't call him that and I'm not going to call him that."

Only 4 percent agreed with Boehner, with 1 percent undecided.

The poll then asked to evaluate Obama's political philosophy.  Of the 975 respondents, the results were:

Centrist - 1%
Traditional Liberal - 1%
Socialist - 37%
Marxist - 59%
Other - 2%
Undecided - 0%

Commenting on the results, Richard A. Viguerie, Chairman of ConservativeHQ.com, issued the following statement:
 

"What was dismaying was how easily and totally Boehner caved in to David Gregory's hectoring on political correctness.

"When conservatives flat-out disagree with Republican leadership by a 19-to-1 margin on an issue of this importance, you know the party is in trouble.  This is supported by a recent Gallup Poll that found that only 39% of Republicans give an approval rating to the GOP members in Congress of their own party.

"So, if the Republican Party wants to restore its image among the American people, it needs to select a leader who knows how to stand up to David Gregory."

What is Boehner afraid of??? Joe Wilson Call Obama, appropriately so after Obama's lies were exposed, and Mc Connell and Boehner made him apologyze. Now we have areal Cretin in the Insane Pelkosi Camp calling that the GOP wants Older Americans to DIE and I see no-one from the GOP Congress get off their Asses and demand an apology. Do they expect that Nut Case Pelosi to make the Cretin Stand up and apologyze???? I am amazed with these elected officials. Why can't we just speak the truth and let the chips fall. Boehner, McCain,Graham all of these guys are sellouts! They don't even put up a good and fair fight. They are not representing the true Republican party and rather, are causing dissension. "Flip the House in 2010"!!!

This is why the Republican party as it is now, run by RINO's is not going to get the support of the Real Republican who understands the party platform. They also do not want mccain refered to as the head of the party because he too is not representative of the base and will not stand up for their values. Although Obama is a poor leader there are many who feel McCain would have been no better even though his military ability is far superior to Obama's, in every other category McCain may be just as bad and against a Dem majority he would have been overwhelmed.

The fact that there are so many organizations who want the same thing is driving me nuts. Each day I must get 5 or more messages from groups that want $ and my attention to the same desires of most real conservatives. I wonder when someone is going to get smart enough to bring these organizations together to allow those of us who are fighting the good fight a unified voice on conservative values? There is the Americans for Prosperty, Tea Parties, Dick Armey of freedomworks, this site and so many more that I can't keep track anymore. I have found that Armey is getting paid a good salary from freedomworks to be the representative. Where are the servants to see us to a new tomorrow? I've given to so many groups that I have lost track and it doesn't seem like we are winning. Every week there is something new and I now see where the Dems are suggesting that they don't need to vote on a health bill they will just make it an amendment to another bill. They know exactly how to wear the American people down. I'm not saying I will give up but it's time to unite so mayber this site will join with others to make sure we have a more unified group in this Nation period.

It's past time for a New Republican Party or Real Republican Party where real Conservatives could find a home. But first we must get rid of all the old RINO's and other old goats. We need new leaders definitely. Who will feel the void? Sarah Palin what are you waiting for? I have a stack of donation requests from the GOP folks and it is getting harder and harder to support them. When I saw House Leader Boehner kiss Polosie on the cheek I think I thru in the towel but just don't realize it yet. Some Democrats realize more than the GOP what needs to be done and have moved to the other side to vote. Is this a miracle? Can we hope for more of this in the future as Obama contiues to destroy the economy and the country? Energy/Global Warming/Climate Change fiasco is still coming.

I've seen Newt Gingrich in action and John Boehner is NO Newt Gingrich, as this story illustrates. I got another call today, from the Republican Congressional Committee, reminding me of 1994, and wanting me to support Boehner for Speaker, replacing Pelosi (my fellow Californian). There is not a chance that he could do it. Where is the Leadership?

Republicans in the Congress and the Senate are the most inept bunch. For example, there has been several rallies by the DC school scholarship program supporters (mostly inner city kids and their parents)and I have yet to see any one of them join in force to call out the education hypocrisy of the Democratic party. Now this. Republican Party can not stand on principles of small government, supremacy of the US Constitution and extermination of the Communist and socialist ideologies from the American political scene. A lot of Americans died fighting the communists and socialists. Obama is a marxist and must be called as such. Gregory is probably another closet socialist.

Let's do something proactive: First, tell (admonish, warn, threaten) Michael Steele that we're not giving anymore to the GOP unless they ONLY fund true conservatives; winning seats just to win does nothing for us. Any issue argued honestly and with courage from a conservative viewpoint wins over moderates, not vice-versa as the media would have us believe - ask any Reaganite. Secondly, we need a true conservative organization that can manage a monstrous trust fund that we pre-pay into BEFORE it's passed onto the GOP. NO PLAY? NO PAY!

Ok, so Boehner does not think Obama is a Socialist, then call him what he is, A MARXIST! It is amazing that our goverment officials do not understand the movement that is taking place in America. It is not party driven! We are upset with both sides! We want the Constitution reinstated in our government! We want the government to uphold their oath to support the Constitution! If they just did that, most of these issues would not even be on the table! Obama has done one thing for America, HE WOKE THE PEOPLE UP! We are wide awake now and we have realized while we were asleep our government has made great strides in getting this great Nation on the wrong path! It is up to us to get it back on track by voting these people out of office! Elections are serious and have dire consequences! We MUST hold them accountable and stay awake to what they are doing! It is a sad day in our country when we have to demand they read bills before they vote on them and even sadder that we have to ask them to read and uphold the Constitution!

Redhawk, you said it well. I do agree with Boehner, he's not a Socialist. He's worse than that. He IS a full blown arrogant, and I mean arrogant, Marxist and he's in the Oval Office of this nation. If this doesn't get people up off their seats calling their weak-minded, weak back-boned Republican, Democrat, Independent congressmen to stand up for this grand country's freedoms and principles, I don't know what in the heck will. It was pathetic to care more about the Olympics than our soldiers doing his bidding while being killed for our freedoms; and his speech to the United Nations was revolting. I hate to be so strong in words, but we are in danger, unlike any danger I've ever seen. Through his disastrous decisions regarding Afghanistan, he continues to send a loud and very clear message to every enemy of the citizens of this nation that he isn't going to do anything to protect this nation, that we somehow deserve the consequences we get because we have been so "unilateral" in our decisions regarding other nations, so divisive, derisive and that we are here to serve as doormats for other nations. And that he's thrown Israel under the bus is more than a travesty for this nation. I've had it and I'm angry. Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Geithner, Ramhbo, Clinton, Czars... all of them need to leave before they get us all killed. REINSTATE OUR CONSTITUTION and the founding principles that have provided the world more good than the fiction Obama creates. And may God forgive me that I am unable to support this leader.

Obama is not a marxist, or a socialist. He is a destroyer. He was taught well by the 43rd President - whose name I will never utter, write, or print again. Many so-called conservatives went along with the big gov't GOP form of ruling. Whoever voted for #43 should have taken a gun, and shot their children, because they voted to take away any hope of having a good, and meaningful life, here in the United States of America. This form of GOP rule led to a quadruple disaster: 1. monsterously increased gov't spending. 2. Democrat control of Congress. 3. Obama's election. 4. Destruction of our currency. The floodgates are open to destroy the American way of life. We will not wonder what hell is like, because it's being created here in the United States of America.

Barack Obama is a Marxist, plain and simple. We are in the middle of a communist revolution right here in America and most of us don't even realize it. When are our "so-called conservative leaders" going to realize this and start standing up to Obama and these rats that are destroying our country? Appeasement and "reaching across the aisles" as Boehner, McCain, and Lindsey advocate will only be used by liberals against conservatives in future elections. Do they not realize this? We are so far down the road towards socialism now that it is probably going to take a civil conflict of some kind to isolate, dislodge, and destroy this "cancer" eating away at our democracy and threatening our freedoms. Trust me, as someone who believes in the rule of law, I have trouble coming to terms with this, but I'm afraid there may soon come a day that these radicals in power attempt to do something very foolish to us and we may have no other choice. It is utterly amazing with all the natural resources and fertile lands we have in this vast republic of "OURS", that these people are succeeding in virtually stopping us from producing our own energy, our own food, all in the name of protecting the enviornment and saving a so-called "endangered" fish. All the taxing and runaway spending. Our children and grandchildren have no future to look forward to. Are they purposely trying to collapse our economy? Are they trying to "cut America down to size"? Is this about making us have a "teachable moment" and get a taste of how people in places like Calcutta and Zimbabwe live? What is happening to us? Why are we allowing them to do this to us? If our supposedly "conservative leaders" don't have the stomach for this fight, then we better figure something out quickly. If they cannot do this, we have to replace them, otherwise I am convinced that civil war may be our only recourse for taking our republic back and getting government back on the side of the people.

We are as much to blame for the situation we are in because we lost sight and became complacent. We need more than leaders. The judicial system must be purged as well as Washington. Im 23 years old and my generation looks to be the weakest most confused,uneducated generation in American history. If something doesn't happen fast there will be no opposition to stop them. As conservative men and woman our choice weapon against the indocrinated masses is to be Quick,Consice,Blunt, and Unapologetic. The 2 party system is a joke and political leaders like John "Boner" have been comprimised. Its time for the people to realize that Washington doesnt play by the rules. They are breaking the Law and spitting on the constitution and treating the American people like serfs. If they have no respect for the constitution or for the ideals our founding fathers set, then they will not relinquish power because of a "Vote" This breaks my heart because I can only imagine what the current administration is capable of. It will take complete unity of the people and a transformation to do this through the political system. Sorry for the rant but I must voice my oppinion.

It doesn't show much strength of character when "Boner" caves in to David Gregory. As far as David Gregory is concerned, in my opinion he just another conceited loud mouth journalist.
