The Campaign for Human Development does NOT benefit the poor!

I recently wrote you listing some of the anti-Catholic, pro-abortion, pro-homosexual radical, left-wing groups funded by the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD).

If you didn’t receive my e-mail, or would like to read it again, it is posted online at http://conservativehq.com/blog_post/show/446.

Some new information has just come to my attention that provides additional examples of the organizations currently funded by CCHD.  On its website at http://www.all.org/article.php?id=12345 and http://www.all.org/article.php?id=12307, the American Life League lists:
  • Little Village Environmental Justice Organization promotes both homosexual lifestyles and birth control to teens.
  • Foces de al Frontera promoted a homosexual campaign for an ally group, Equality Wisconsin, and strongly supports inclusion of federal funding of abortion in the Obamacare Bill.
  • The Chicago Workers Collaborative gave a presentation at the Socialism 2009 conference.
  • Intercommunity Justice and Peace Center lists the Cincinnati chapter of the National Organization for Women (NOW), the International Socialist Organization, and several pro-homosexual groups as “friends and colleagues” on its website.
  • LA Community Action Network, which supports homosexual marriage and promotes access to “emergency” contraception.
  • San Francisco Organizing Project provides major support for “emergency” contraception for both minors and adults.

And at http://bellarmineveritasministry.org/campaigns/cchd/, the Bellarmine Veritas Ministry lists:
  • Women’s Community Revitalization Project is a coalition partner with WomenVote PA, which is aggressively working for homosexual marriage, “reproductive health care,” and “emergency” contraception services.
  • Grantees working for the passage of the Obamacare Bill include the Tennessee Health Care Campaign, Food AND Medicine, PICO network and its affiliates, Massachusetts Senior Action Council, Gamaliel Foundation and its affiliates, VOICE--Buffalo, Inc., and the Washington Community Action Network.

Unfortunately, the CCHD does almost NOTHING to actually benefit the poor.  Very little food, shelters, clothing, or medical care is provided to people in need.

Instead, close to all of the grants from CCHD go to groups which engage in “community organizing” for legislative and political purposes.

There really is no “upside” to CCHD.  It is at least 99% political. 

The CCHD website at http://www.usccb.org/cchd/grants/index.shtml states that it has two grant programs, Community Organizing Grants and Economic Development Grants.  Neither one of these grant programs are concerned with providing direct assistance to people who are hungry, homeless, or sick.

If you think the CCHD is guilty of funding just a few leftwing political organizations like ACORN, go to their website at http://www.usccb.org/cchd/grants/2009CCHDGrantees.pdf, and see for yourself.

Almost none of the grantees provide any direct help to people in need of food, shelter, clothing, or medicine.  Rather, they are all about power, grassroots organizing, and political influence.

Is this how you thought your contributions to CCHD were being used?

Here are some action steps you can take:

1.    REFUSE to give a single cent to the bishops’ November appeal.

2.    SEND THIS MESSAGE to friends, family members, co-workers, and all Catholics you know.  (Even friends who aren’t Catholic can help by forwarding this message to their Catholic friends.)

3.    SIGN OUR PETITION at http://conservativehq.com/petitions/.  This petition that will be sent to all American cardinals and all other members of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops.

4.    COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR PASTOR and/or BISHOP (through a letter, e-mail, phone call, or personal visit) and tell him that you will not contribute to any cause that’s promoted in the names of the bishops until they STOP USING CONTRIBUTIONS TO FUND LEFT-WING POLITICS.
 
Catholics must let Catholic leaders know our money must not be used to fund left-wing politics.

Next we have wacky sisters who contribute and volunteer at all the above "social justice" programs (wealth distribution and abortion clinic escorts!) and "sustainability"(UN speak for Rockefeller-inspired population control - forced contraception/sterlization and abortion of Third World countries). How much money from the Faithful from the Dec. 14 collection for elderly sisters will be diverted to "advocacy" programs? Check out the SEC and the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas, Inc. (RSM) online. Looks like the ladies are using their non-profit status to start "sponsored" organizations. See if you can find anything Catholic about Mt. St. Agnes Women's Theological Center. The founder is on the Board of Notre Dame. Note the fish-wrap's (NCReporter, thanks, Fr. Z) podcast of Sr. Doris Gottemoeller, RSM. With all those hospitals - and a religious in upper management - where's the money going? Given their financial support for the UN (UNFPA, The Earth Charter, and UNANIMA), Catholics need to be sure money is going to help the elderly sisters. What about getting some bishops with backbone who declare a school, program, religious order non-Catholic and getting them off the Official Catholic Directoy. Out of the directory and you don't get your 501 (c) 3 status. Nutty nuns with left-wing policies are also pushing gay "marriage", married priests, priestesses, and heresies. Gnosticism to apostasy - most of the members of the LCWR are soliciting money from the faithful to fund activities that have nothing to do with the Church. Bravo - for speaking out. There are TONS of fabulous nuns doing wonderful work that could use the money being wasted with the CCHD. I'd sign a petition praying for Bishop Morin's conversion so that he stops funding pro-abort groups. Does he really think he's being ecumenical?

Sisters' Sister
I have and have had sisters in the Sisters of Loretto Nocitiate/Sisterhood who are extremely hard workers with/for the Marxisit Socialist overthrow of our country via illegal immigration community organizing (LaRaza) and Multiculturalism and graduate of the Catholic Theological Union (Liberation Theology,...radical hatred of the white people especially the males. The order is extremely involved in the Nuclear Freeze and the Marxist Socialist/Communist Green (on the outsdie red on the inside watermelon) Encironmental movement...Socialism hiding again under one of its spokes of Environmentalism, aka Multiculturalism, Social(ist) Justice Movement, Liberation Theology, Global Warming and Public Universal Healthcare, just TO NAME A FEW!!! that Socisliat Marxist Communists hide within. We have so many enemies within...this orderis also completely behind the confiscation of personal gun ownership too. They love the Communist setup of their own lifestyles....living off the people to donate to them...many of them so poor themselves but made to feel guilty that they should support these orders...and they have no personal ownership of anything except everyone else's money that they live off of....constantly fund raising and accepting inheritances...as they work to destroy our ways of live, behind their smokescreen of poverty (which they don't live under) and so-called chartiy whith most of the money goes for these organizations. These orders are totally brainwashed by Jesuits, Maryknollers, and the like--having been done when the people enter the order at 18 years old with clean slate minds to absorb all the rot.
