The Secret To A Trump Landslide

By Richard A Viguerie, CHQ Chairman
There’s no guarantee that just because the Democrats set themselves on fire on national TV Trump is going to walk away with an easy 2020 victory. The real secret to creating a Donald Trump landslide in 2020 is for conservatives to take the lead in nationalizing the 2019-2020 elections by BRANDING the Democrats using targeted direct marketing through new and alternative media, especially in battle ground states and key congressional districts.

Democrat Debate: The Largest Gathering Of Liberals Since Woodstock

The pre-debate panderfest has been a doozy with Democratic candidates for President rolling out taxpayer funded giveaway after giveaway, with Socialist Senator Bernie Sanders’ student loan forgiveness scheme being by far the most expensive, but not the kookiest.

Assault on America, Day 175: It’s here! 2020 Democrats open (rhetorical) fire on each other!

If history is a guide, tonight’s and tomorrow night’s Democrat debates won’t do much to change the dynamic in the party race -- or American politics in general. This week marks the beginning of the official process, the opening salvos in what will be a very long war to win the election.

Assault on America, Day 174: D’s and R’s dump millions to wage a messaging war in 2020

As with every campaign, messaging will be extremely important in 2020. Democrats will vie for the title of most extreme and liberal to please primary voters and President Trump will continue to preside over the GOP, the two parties preparing for an all-out messaging war in the coming months.

Assault on America, Day 173: Hollywood liberals make hay over illegal aliens’ beating hearts

Liberals like Alyssa Milano should be careful about attaching the “hypocrite” label to anyone, much less those who are pro-life protectors of the unborn. Neither the immigration issue nor the culture war will be decided by outspoken Hollywood actors. American voters will notice, too.

Assault on America, Day 170: Desperate Dem candidates crawl over broken glass to draw looks

Crazy plans are in abundance these days as Democrat presidential candidates hit the campaign trail hard hoping to draw notice from party voters -- and more importantly, the sensationalism hungry media. Corey Booker and “Beto” O’Rourke probably won’t get far, but they’ll sure jump through hoops to get a TV spot.

Democrats Plan Votes On Slave Reparations Bill

We urge CHQ readers and friends to call their Representative (the toll-free Capitol Switchboard is 1-866-220-0044), tell your Representative you agree with Barack Obama, slave reparations are unconstitutional on their face, and demand that your Representative vote NO on H.R. 40 or any other slave reparations bill that comes before the House.

Assault on America, Day 169: Trump train rolled through Orlando, Democrats left tied to track

A year from now when both parties are gearing up for their nominating conventions few will remember what was done or said at Tuesday night’s Trump reelection announcement rally. People will be too focused on choosing between the candidates then -- and Trump will definitely come out ahead.

Assault on America, Day 168: Americans brace for the 2020 Democrat debates. Will they matter?

Party primary debates can make a big difference in every campaign cycle, but only if the candidates are already well known or find a unique way to present themselves. Issues always take a backseat at such “beauty contest” media sideshows. Will next week’s Democrat forums prove any different?

Assault on America, Day 167: It’s official, Trump is running in 2020 -- he’s in it to win it

President Trump officially launches his 2020 campaign tonight. As they’ve done throughout his four-year political career, the media will feed off of the interest the event generates, then bash him relentlessly afterwards. Trump won’t care -- he and his tens of thousands of backers will have the time of their lives.

Impossible dreaming with the impossible Bernie

Wesley Pruden, Washington Times

Hope springs stubbornly eternal. Bernie made a speech the other day at George Washington University and gave a full-throated endorsement of socialism as the cure for what doesn’t ail America. Eggheads, college kids and the little old ladies who pass out pamphlets at meetings of the Ethical Culture Society went all a-tingly when they heard that Bernie had gone all-out for what makes Venezuela and North Korea such tourist hotspots. Just as Franklin D. Roosevelt’s New Deal was the answer to suffering and abuse by corporations then, so “democratic socialism” is the answer now. Some of Bernie’s Democratic opponents, who recognize folly when they see it, are rushing to get away from him, lest they become collateral damage.

Assault on America, Day 166: With debts mounting, how much should Americans provide?

With Democrats like Bernie Sanders campaigning on the necessity to spend more to provide a higher standard of living for everyone, it’s about time Americans had a conversation about the difference between “needs” and “wants.” Don’t trust a big spending politician to explain the distinction.

Assault on America, Day 163: For Trump and the GOP in 2020, it ain’t just the economy, stupid

No one ethnic voting bloc will determine the outcome of next year’s election but taken as a whole, Republicans can’t afford to assume they’ll do better just because the economy is strong. Everyone wants a better life and it’s up to the political class to convince voters it will happen.

Assault on America, Day 162: Trump trails Dems in Texas and other key states. Time to panic?

Politics is politics and polls are polls. The 2020 election is shaping up to be one heck of a struggle, and reality suggests many citizens haven’t made up their minds on who they’ll choose a year and a half before Election Day. Opinion surveys are a snapshot it time; take them with a grain of salt.

Assault on America, Day 161: Hillary, Obama, GOP heads and the politics of cowardice & losing

Along with his many predictions of “winning” President Trump’s known for calling his opponents “losers” and gloating over their failures. Such talk may not go over well on a playground, but in the world of politics you can say anything you want as long as you back it up. Trump’s done it -- a lot.

Turbocharging The Big Lie About Russian Interference In The 2016 Election

Today’s column by Diana West carefully parses the comments made last month by former CIA Director and Defense Secretary Robert Gates in an interview during the May 12, 2019 edition of “Face the Nation.” Ms. West’s conclusion: If the colossal con of "Russian interference" had not worked like an evil charm, it would be pathetic.

Assault on America, Day 160: Biden honeymoon about to be buried under avalanche of facts

Now that the real work’s about to start in the 2020 presidential race it’s clear Democrats will have their hands full trying to figure out how to treat Joe Biden. The media is quick to highlight all of Biden’s supposed advantages, but when his flaws start hitting the light of day, watch out.

The Old White Men Leading the Democratic Race

Patrick J. Buchanan, The American Conservative

As long as Bernie holds onto the votes he has, he prevents any candidate of color, any woman, or any fresh new face from amassing enough strength in the polls to get within striking distance of Biden. Bernie is thus today a de facto ally of Biden. He holds too few votes to take the nomination from Joe, but sufficient votes to stay in the race through the early primaries and deny any other Democrat a clean shot at Biden. As of now, there are two lanes to the Democratic nomination—the centrist-moderate lane Biden occupies almost exclusively, and the left lane where Bernie leads but is being challenged by Elizabeth Warren.

Assault on America, Day 159: How damaged would things be today if Romney won in 2012?

Whether it’s Democrats or certain Republicans (like Mitt Romney) it’s clear Americans will be dissatisfied as long as the establishment mans the government’s levers of power. President Trump shows no let-up in his drive to drain the swamp -- but he’ll need many more liberty-loving helpers to make it a reality.

Assault on America, Day 156: Trump bashers’ conduct defies apples to oranges comparison

It’s extremely hard to compare today’s political predicament to those of the past because there’s never been a president quite like Donald Trump and Democrats of today are a breed apart from their predecessors. Impeachment will happen -- or it won’t -- and life will stay putrid and stagnant in the DC swamp.
