After reading the Inspector General's report it is clear to us that many of the contortions the FBI and Department of Justice went through weren’t to protect Hillary Clinton, they were to protect Obama from being exposed as a liar and an accessory in Hillary Clinton’s misdeeds.

Even though the report found blatant bias and that some senior bureau officials exhibited a disturbing “willingness to take official action” to hurt Trump’s chances to become president, Strzok’s boss, Comey, had no “political bias.” Right.

Was there good faith in the beginning? Did political appointees and career agents rightfully pursue leads to see if something was there? Or was the investigation always an insurance policy? And, more importantly: Did anyone really believe the Steele dossier?

We need a through investigation via a full-on commission of the FBI and the DOJ themselves and, unfortunately, the intelligence agencies as well that could -- and most likely would -- take years. So many issues are at play here it's mind-boggling.  How do we deal with the dishonesty of our officials and bureaucrats when those same people are the keepers of our secrets and the enforcers of our laws (both of which are related)?  When is transparency necessary?  When is secrecy justified? Who will watch the watchers? Are the congressional oversight committees enough?  Do they have sufficient power?

Senior-level Justice Department officials pushed back heavily on an ongoing FBI investigation of the Clinton Foundation, according to a bombshell report from The Wall Street Journal. The newspaper laid out numerous examples, based on law enforcement sources, of senior DOJ officials intervening to quash the probe.

If Loretta Lynch agrees that the Constitution isn't a neutral instrument as between the people and the gov't because it was written to keep the gov't off our backs, she will be an antidote to Obama’s lawbreaking.
