Know Thy Enemy

The effort to develop a “foundational progressive infrastructure at the community level” is well underway, and President Trump’s conservative – populist coalition should take notice that there is a new enemy on the battlefield.

Outsiders vs. Insiders: By flirting with Dems is Trump just trying to make GOP leaders envious?

The days and weeks ahead will reveal more of what President Trump really thinks about immigration. For now conservatives should be confident that he has not yet revealed all of his cards. Above all Trump wants to keep his promises; perhaps he needs a little leeway to do just that.

Outsiders vs. Insiders: Establishment still suffers from Steve Bannon derangement syndrome

Donald Trump’s political legacy is yet to be fully written. He’s a one-of-a-kind force in American politics. If Republican leaders were smart they’d follow his lead or the voters just might recognize the GOP for what it’s become: an establishment party that doesn’t stand for anything.

Outsiders vs. Insiders: Conservatives beware of West Wing Democrat salesmen bearing promises

Passing tax reform should be a no-brainer for the GOP. They run on the issue every year and there’s broad consensus that rates need to be cut. Donald Trump’s presidency could hinge on what takes place in the next few months; beyond that, the entire republic could be at stake.

Outsiders vs. Insiders: Donald Trump’s 2020 reelection prospects already plain for all to see

If Donald Trump continues to push the right political buttons – and Republicans in Congress actually move forward on the agenda he articulated during last year’s campaign – he will win over more voters and his current popularity numbers won’t be a problem.

Outsiders vs. Insiders: Betsy DeVos and Hillary Clinton -- a Tale of Two Washington Women

It used to be the Constitution brought Americans together but that’s no longer true. These days, as Betsy DeVos demonstrated, returning to our country’s founding principles only brings one scorn, condemnation and evil wishes from people who use the system for their own aims.

Outsiders vs. Insiders: Could the best option on North Korea be to simply do nothing?

If some politician out there has a better solution than the man on the street to the North Korea situation, we’d all like to hear it. In the meantime Americans simply want their towns and cities protected and their sons and daughters to remain safely away from any military conflict.

Outsiders vs. Insiders: Could trained chimps help Donald Trump more than Ryan and McConnell?

Donald Trump seems driven by a determination to “Make America Great Again” by making everything shine just like one of his skyscrapers. Republican leaders could work effectively with the president if they only understood what really motivates him. Will they ever learn?

Outsiders vs. Insiders: Americans expect more than fumbled fair catch of Trump’s DACA punt

Should Republicans bow to the will of the Democrats and all of the scaremongers on the DACA/amnesty issue they’ll suffer politically. The base merely asks for immigration policy to be set by Congress and enforced by the executive. Trump’s order on Tuesday only reinforces it.

Charlottesville false narrative crushed by DHS warning

Mark J. Fitzgibbons, American Thinker

Victims and their lawyers should be swooning about lawsuits against McAuliffe, the Commonwealth of Virginia, and the City of Charlottesville under legal doctrines of negligence or “state-created danger.” There may also be federal civil rights violations ripe for a Department of Justice investigation if Jeff Sessions acts quickly to preserve evidence. Charlottesville has been used for political purposes to attack Donald Trump and conservatives as racists. The false narrative even underlying those claims appears to be worse than originally suspected.

Democrats Welcome Chairman Mao To America

Republicans and conservatives must force themselves to recognize that the violence perpetrated in Charlottesville, Philadelphia and Berkeley was just the probing movements of a coming hardcore Leftist revolution that intends through violence and intimidation to destroy constitutional liberty.

The Media Normalize the Antifa Extreme

L. Brent Bozell III and Tim Graham, CNS News

The rulebook is being shredded. The antifa movement, or anti-fascist movement of far-left-leaning militant groups, is justifying violent action in the streets to beat back racists and neo-Nazis. Violence — not as an accidental outburst but as an explicit strategy — used to be seen as a beyond-the-pale extreme. Now NBC's Chuck Todd & Co. are ushering antifa's extreme into polite society.

Donald Trump's Problematic Device

R. Emmett Tyrrell, Jr., The American Spectator

President Donald Trump is in trouble again with his Moral Superiors. His problem, of course, is that he cannot throttle his B.S. Detector. Trump it seems at some point in life acquired a B.S. Detector that has usually served him well. The Detector sounds an alarm when it perceives B.S., and during the Charlottesville disruptions it went wild. Every time the Mainstream Media or a political figure (usually a Democrat) began vituperating against only one side in a manifestly two-sided conflict, Trump’s B.S. Detector could not be ignored.

President Trump’s Arizona Speech Drives Left Nuts

Trump’s Phoenix speech was good mostly because Trump showed he could still be Trump, and that he wasn’t going to be cowed into abandoning his base – and because along the way he delivered an epic put down to the national media’s Charlottesville narrative.

FedUp PAC Poll: Conservatives Say Media Trying to Destroy Trump, Nation May Be Heading to Civil War

Conservatives believe that the media’s unrelenting and unfair attacks on President Trump and other conservatives “are pushing America to a civil war” according to a poll by FedUp PAC.

Alinsky Politicians and Press Create Dangerous Anti-First Amendment Environment

Mark J. Fitzgibbons, CNS News

A free speech rally this weekend in the Cradle of Liberty, Boston, and planned in July before the Charlottesville, Virginia clashes over Confederate monuments, was cut short by leftwing counter-protesters. This ought to say enough about the sad state of affairs for the rights of free speech and peaceable assembly. The First Amendment right of peaceable assembly has been with us for over two centuries but it makes little difference to left-wing activist groups.
