As Caravan Approaches, Quit Lying about Immigration

Roger L. Simon, PJ Media

One of the Big Lies about immigration is that Democrats, liberals, progressives... really want secure borders. It's just the wall that bothers them. Maybe, just maybe, if we're extremely lucky, this caravan will backfire sufficiently with the public to be blamed for the Republicans holding the House. In that extraordinarily fortuitous case — it could take divine intervention — Congress should move swiftly on new immigration legislation overdue by decades. Of course, we're a nation of immigrants — legal ones.

The caravan is an attack on America -- Stop the caravan now

Newt Gingrich, Fox News

This caravan attack is the right place to draw the line and say “no more.” House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., is right. Congress should come back and pass the laws that would enable Americans to re-establish the rule of law at the border and protect our country with dignity and authority. President Trump is right. Stop the caravan now. If you want to defend America, let your House member and senators know how you feel.

Immigration Puts Trump’s Legacy at Risk

Patrick J. Buchanan, The American Conservative

Democrats routinely win 70 to 90 percent of the votes of people whose trace their ancestry to Asia, Africa and Latin America. Not without reason, Democrats believe that if they can change the composition of the American electorate, they can control America forever. If Donald Trump was elected on any one issue, it was immigration and his promises to secure the border, build the wall and halt the invasion. How he deals with the impending crisis of the migrant caravan may affect both the fate of his party in November and his presidency in 2020.

What The MSM Doesn’t Get About Trump's Support

What the establishment media doesn’t seem to comprehend is that Donald Trump’s supporters, conservative, populist voters, not just white Evangelical Christians, stick with him because they want results, and Trump, despite his personal foibles is delivering them.

The Politicians Who Killed Mollie Tibbetts

Mollie Tibbetts was killed so that somebody in Iowa could have cheap labor, and she was killed so that members of the Business Roundtable and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce could hit this quarter’s earnings target, and most shamefully, she was killed so that virtue signaling liberal politicians could get reelected.

The Willy Horton Moment In The Pennsylvania Senate Race

Our suggestion is that Congressman Barletta take Mayor Kenny and Senator Casey's support for "sanctuary" cities as the “Willy Horton moment” in the campaign and pound Senator Casey and other Democrats for their support of sanctuary cities and the rapes, murders, drugs and other disastrous effects they have on the citizens who must suffer under their misrule.

Should We Invade Mexico?

Kurt Schlichter, Townhall

No, we should not invade Mexico. There are no good military options, and none are necessary or wise today, but we may eventually have to choose between bad options. Mexico is failing more and more every day. We are not yet at the point of a military solution, but anyone who says that day can never come is lying to himself and to you. We need a wall, but more than that, we need the commitment to American security and sovereignty that a wall would physically represent.

Democrats Have Already Started The Second Civil War

The FBI defines domestic terrorism as events that appear intended to "intimidate or coerce a civilian population" or "influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion." If that is not what the Left has been engaged in with increasing ferocity, especially over the past two weeks, then “intimidation and coercion” have lost their meaning.

Call Congress Tell Them No Amnesty, No Cheap Immigrant Labor

Defeating Ryan’s amnesty bill may not be easy, because, Ryan has promised to "lean into" rounding up the votes. The toll-free Capitol Switchboard is (1-866-220-0044) we urge CHQ readers and friends to call their Representative to demand he or she vote NO on Ryan’s amnesty bill when it comes to the Floor today.

Insist on E-Verify

The Editors, National Review

The Trump administration has been hesitant to put E-Verify front and center. But, as we’ve seen over the last few weeks at the border, once illegal immigrants are in the country, even if they have just arrived, it’s a significant challenge to remove them. E-Verify would serve as a deterrent and diminish the illegal population without the government having to directly remove anyone (although, obviously, deportation is a completely legitimate tool of enforcement).

The Left’s Next Step Is Open Violence Against Conservatives

Unless Democrats and the cultural and political leadership of the Left come out firmly against mob violence this dangerous situation is only going to escalate. A good start would be a congressional censure of Rep. Waters, but unambiguous statements from Left-leaning cultural and media leaders, like The Washington Post, that political violence is not to be tolerated are also needed.

Democracy requires borders

Editors, Washington Examiner

Without borders and border enforcement, there is no clear definition of the polity. Democracy cannot exist without a clearly defined polity. That’s why the European project of replacing nation-states with a continent-wide super-state, with porous borders both internally and externally, has been so undemocratic. Elites are fine with a shifting populous, because the public aren’t “us” in an important sense. The elite tribe, spanning borders, is their “us” that makes the rules.

Has the West the Will to Survive?

Patrick J. Buchanan, The American Conservative

The conquest and colonization of the New World and the creation of the United States and its rise to world power required acts of aggression and war of which many among our elites are ashamed. They exhibit their guilt by tearing down the statues of the men who perpetrated the "crimes" that created America. But of these elites, it may be fairly said: they could never have built a nation like ours.

Illegal Immigration, Internment Camps, and Useful Idiots

David Catron, The American Spectator

The Bush family has a famously adversarial relationship with English. It became clear this week that at least one of them is also illiterate where U.S. history and immigration policy are concerned. The WW II Japanese internment camps were indeed “one of the most shameful episodes in U.S. history.” It occurred because a Democratic president signed Executive Order 9066, resulting in the illegal incarceration of 110,000 loyal Japanese Americans. This is consistent with that party’s long catalogue of racialist crimes. For Mrs. Bush to conflate that atrocity to the current border situation is utterly irresponsible.

Democrats Have Zero Tolerance For Illegal Immigration Solutions

David Harsanyi, The Federalist

I’m a pretty liberal guy on immigration – open to more asylum seekers, bigger immigration, more temporary workers, etc. But I’m not a huge fan of chaos. And I suspect I’m not alone. It’s neither healthy for the country, nor the people who come here seeking a better life, to be thrown into a system that doesn’t work. Nor is it politically rational, as we increasingly see in Europe. Yet, we have Democrats and activists calling for the elimination of ICE. We have a Democratic Party unwilling to make any compromise on the issue. Sooner or later the situation becomes untenable.

Trump Flips Immigration Hot Potato Back To Congress

In an act of amazing political jujitsu, President Trump has defused the phony family separation crisis that the Left and their allies in the media and the cheap labor wing of the business community ginned-up to help them ram a Republican majority-destroying amnesty bill through Congress.

Trump Stands With Euro Resisters Against “Invasion”

Patrick J. Buchanan, The American Conservative

The population of Africa, right across the Med, is anticipated to climb to 2.5 billion by midcentury. And by 2100, Africa will be home to half of all the people of the planet. If but a tiny fraction of the African and Middle Eastern population decides to cross the Mediterranean to occupy the emptying towns and villages of an aging and dying continent, who and what will stop them? Trump may be on the wrong side politically and emotionally of this issue of separating migrant kids from their parents. But on the mega-issue — the Third World invasion of the West — he is riding the great wave of the future, if the West is to have a future.
