Why I Have Given Up on Trumpism

Roger Kimball, American Greatness

When it comes to Donald Trump, pragmatism overwhelms ideology. Which is why I believe that there no such thing as “Trumpism.” Its putative author is constitutionally averse to the spirit that would give substance to the -ism. Trump’s chief of staff John Kelly was onto something essential about his boss when, in his powerful press conference last month, he observed that Trump’s agenda was “what’s good for America.” That is to say, he has no “agenda” as that term is often used, i.e., no set of hidden or ulterior motives for his policies.

Voters Sent The Republicans A Wake-Up Message

By Richard A. Viguerie, CHQ Chairman
Maybe the most powerful line in American politics is “send them a message” and on Tuesday the voters sent Republicans a series of unmistakable messages.

Why the Left Has Been So Wrong About the Trump Boom

Stephen Moore, Investor's Business Daily

Maybe the liberal economists and their shills in the media should show some humility. They should acknowledge they were dead wrong about how much Obamanomics was going to grow the economy and about how Trumponomics would crash the economy and the stock market. Or better yet, maybe the rest of us should all just stop listening to them.

Why Does President Trump Keep Hiring Anti-Trumpers?

Kirstjen Nielsen, the nominee to replace Gen. Kelly as DHS secretary, doesn’t seem very promising, given her pedigree as a Jeb Bush donor and her lack of experience in, and commitment to, the conservative policy outcomes President Trump promised on immigration and the rest of the Department of Homeland Security mission.

Despicable Anti-Gillespie Ad Backfires After NYC Truck Attack

After an Uzbek Muslim, who apparently entered the United States on a so-called “diversity visa,” ran over and killed at least eight innocent New Yorkers the Latino Victory Fund pulled their sickening ad that featured an Ed Gillespie supporter attempting to run down minority children with a pick-up truck.

Gillespie Gets Pence and CHQ Nod in VA Governor Race

The MAGA agenda is on the line in the Virginia Governor's race, and it is time for conservatives to own the vote. We urge you to talk to your friends, neighbors, family, church members and others in your social circle and ask them to vote for Ed Gillespie for Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Conservative Outsider Senate Candidates Breaking Fundraising Records

While fundraising support for the Republican establishment is drying-up due to the failure of Capitol Hill’s Republican leaders to produce on their campaign promises, two of the most promising Republican outsiders, Indiana’s Mike Braun and Wisconsin’s Leah Vukmir, are reporting record-breaking support.

Fed Up Donors Tell GOP Senate Leaders Pass Bills Or Resign

“I think major donors are tired of writing checks to a do-nothing Congress,” Roy Bailey, an influential, Dallas-based GOP donor told POLITICO, and he's not the only one who has closed his wallet to the Republican establishment.

VP Pence’s Chief Of Staff Nick Ayers Is Our New Hero

Vice President Pence's Chief of Staff Nick Ayers told a group of major donors to the RNC they should call members of Congress and tell them if they don't pass Trump's agenda "we’re recruiting opponents, we’re maxing out to their campaigns, and we’re funding super PACs to defeat all of you.”

Conservative Outsider Mike Braun Enters Indiana Senate Race

Mike Braun is a smart guy and successful businessman. He will be a formidable candidate if he can stay the course of pushing the Trump MAGA agenda, while avoiding a mudwrestling match with Congressmen Rokita and Messer.

One Down 40 – 50 To Go

Rep. Charles Dent a leader of the RINO Tuesday Group is retiring. Our take on the Tuesday Group is 1 down, 40 – 50 to go, they are each guilty until proven innocent by their votes, so primary them all.

The Only Problem Facing President Trump’s Tax Reform Ideas

We are all for the President’s tax reform principles, but we hope he understands that, like Obamacare repeal, the problem getting it passed isn’t the Democrats, it’s the establishment Republicans like Mitch McConnell, Lindsey Graham and John McCain.

Paul Ryan’s Betrayals Define Trump’s 100 Days

As well-intentioned and committed to his agenda as President Trump may be, he has failed to grasp that Paul Ryan is the author of these failures not because he is an inept Speaker, but because he is on the other side.

Cruz buries the hatchet, promises to back Trump priorities

Kyle Feldscher, Washington Examiner

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz Cruz said he feared what could happen to Republicans facing re-election if they don't deliver on their promises. He said that could mean the GOP Senate using the "nuclear option" to end debate on Trump administration priorities with a simple majority instead of the standard 60 vote threshold.
