Danger in the Third-Party Movement

Ken Blackwell, The Patriot Post
Erick Erickson, among others, to argue that a third-party presidential candidate is needed to bring Trump-loathing GOP-voters to the polls in order to save down-ballot Republicans. Erickson makes no claim that his candidate would have any chance of winning. Under today’s statutes and regulations, the formation of a viable third-party this close to the November ballot would be impossible.

Many conservatives and Tea Party activists think Glenn Beck's decision to leave the GOP was made much too early, especially since the fight to select the party’s 2016 nominee for president has not even formally begun yet.

Glenn Beck Leaves The Republican Party

Al Weaver, The Daily Caller

Conservative radio host Glenn Beck announced on his radio show Wednesday morning that he has officially left the Republican Party. Beck, whose program appears on, said the GOP lost him when they said “they were going to stand against Obamacare and illegal immigration” and didn't keep their word.

Glenn Beck: I’m out of the Republican Party

Allah Pundit, Hot Air

How do you keep a party together when the leadership disdains its own base and their priorities and the base knows that and disdains them right back? Is there anything holding it together at this point beyond the simple math involved in coalition-building? GOP minus tea partiers equals President Hillary, right?

Why We Think Glenn Beck Is Wrong To Bolt The GOP

We appreciate Glenn Beck’s frustration, but if you want to change what’s going on in America today the battle is inside the Republican Party, not between the GOP and some yet-to-be-created third party. And if you want to win that battle don’t leave the Republican Party, change the Republican Party by running for precinct committeeman, county chairman or for the Republican nomination for office against a big government incumbent before you consider bolting the GOP.

The House GOP’s Only Constituencies Are Washington And Wall Street

The GOP leadership, the lawyers, the lobbyists, the consultant class of the Republican party, and all the big donors don’t understand that these people are angry. … They are saying that John Boehner doesn’t care about them, and all he cares about is the special interests. I’ve never seen anything like this in the base of a party."

Why We Must (Gently) Disagree With Our Friend Mark Levin

Ronald Reagan’s answer to those, including some of his good political supporters, who wanted him to head a new conservative party, was to tell them “they were out of their minds.” As Reagan saw it then (and he was right) the bulk of conservative voters in America are Republicans—and they won’t desert the Republican Party for a third party.

Levin: Republican Party's Doomed Staff

Mark Levin stated recently on his radio show that, ‘It’s time for a new Republican Party because this one is doomed.’

Viguerie: It's The Primaries, Stupid!

WND Staff

Conservative powerhouse Richard Viguerie (CHQ's chairman) who's credited for organizing Ronald Reagan’s huge victory in 1980 and the founding of multiple conservative organizations is calling for challenges to the elected GOP officials who may not be fully in line with the party’s roots.

Sean Hannity Is Wrong About A Third Party

To win the elections necessary to govern America according to conservative principles there’s only one way to go; recruit the candidates and do the work necessary to obtain the Republican nomination for conservatives. Just as importantly, conservatives must get involved in the Republican Party at the precinct level, run for Party office and takeover the GOP at the local, state and national levels.

Time for a New Party

Paul Joseph, Red State

We need a new Conservative Party. It's Motto: As you live, We Will Govern.

Time for a 3rd Conservative Party

Tony Lee, Breitbart

Sean Hannity said it may be time for a conservative third party for those who are just "sick" of the estab. R's that undermine conservatives. "...we need radical, positive, oriented solutions ... and you're willing to fight for them or you're not."

Cruz Leading 3rd Party of Good Guys?

Tony Lee, Breitbart

Atlantic Wire's Philip Bump writes, "the idea that Congress is now operating as a three-party system has gained informal traction recently." He then names Cruz as a Minority Leader in the Senate and an "Honorary" Minority Leader in the House.
