defund Obama's executive amnesty

Even FOX News is trying to sell the idea that Speaker Boehner needs to find a way to get a bill to the House floor without the divisive immigration provisions. "We cannot allow this small group [of conservatives] to block it,” said RINO Rep. Peter King on ABC's "This Week."

As the deadline for funding DHS approaches and the Democrats have filibustered (four times) a bill that would fund DHS except for Obama’s Illegal Amnesty, the Republicans are again showing their lack of resolve. Senate Majority Leader, Mitch McConnell, has revealed his feckless leadership and instead of holding the line on defunding executive amnesty, he is offering a “clean bill” to the Democrats on a silver platter.  They are holding all the cards and yet they are folding!  

Capitol Hill's establishment Republican leaders put themselves in this mess, because back in December they wouldn’t fight for conservative principles and instead chose to worm their way out of the immediate crisis of funding the government by passing the hated “CRomnibus” so they could take off to their Christmas and holiday vacations, and avoid a potential government wide “shutdown” that fighting Obama’s amnesty then would have entailed. Did they ever plan to make good on own plan to stop Obama's unconstitutional amnesty?

Senate Democrats have agreed to support the “clean” Department of Homeland Security (DHS) funding bill put forward by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.). With a 'shutdown' of DHS looming on Friday at midnight, Democrats now say they will back McConnell’s move to separate the funding from provisions that would roll back President Obama’s executive action on immigration.

Politico screams this warning on the front page today, above the fold: Congress Inches Closer to DHS Cliff!! The “cliff” that Politico warns against is not millions of illegal aliens staying in the United States. The only reason this could happen is because Senate Democrats (and Senate Republicans who went along with them) place greater importance on importing millions of foreigners into the United States and making sure people who should be working to deport them are paid for not deporting them. 

In the face of the apparent cave-in by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Speaker John Boehner faces a tough decision on whether to consider legislation in the House that would fund the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) but not overturn President Obama's executive actions on immigration.

Some R's are misleading others into thinking we'll have the ability to slam a regular budget bill on O's desk next year. Not true. Feb. 27 is Too Late. Obama has the ability to implement his amnesty order NOW & is illegally using existing funds to hire 1,000s to process the applications. 

When you cut through all the “inside baseball” stuff in this Omnibusl, you're left with 2 cold facts: this bill doesn't defund Obama's amnesty (so he gets to reward lawbreakers with your tax dollars) and it adds to our dangerous, unsustainable debt.
