A New Slogan for Kamala Harris: Make America Like Venezuela

Florida’s Senator Marco Rubio, the son of refugees from Fidel Castro’s Communist Cuba has more than a little bit of family history with Communist dictators.

So, when Senator Rubio said out loud what a lot of Anti-Communist Americans were thinking during the Democratic Party’s National Convention it is worth paying attention.

"Kamala wants to bring to America the policies of leaders and countries millions of people have fled #PriceControls," Rubio posted on X with a picture of Chavez and Castro. Authoritarian Socialist Nicolás Maduro, now the President of Venezuela and Hugo Chavez’s handpicked successor, is the leader of Venezuela’s United Socialist Party. Price controls were first implemented in 2003 and expanded under Maduro in 2014.

Former President Donald Trump echoed Senator Rubio's sentiment in a recent press conference, saying Harris was trying to implement "communist price controls," which would cause food shortages. "She's running on the Maduro plan," he continued, referring to the President of Venezuela. "Like something straight out of Venezuela or the Soviet Union."

Republican Rep. Nicole Malliotakis of New York expanded on Senator Rubio’s analysis telling NewsMax,"What are the Democrats proposing to do here? They want to pack the Supreme Court here as well. That is how they destroyed Venezuela under Hugo Chavez and Nicolas Maduro," the Staten Island Republican said on Newsmax's "The Count," pointing out that now, Venezuela has had a "very unfair and not free" election.

"This same socialist playbook is being brought here to the United States," Malliotakis said. "It is starting with the divisiveness. It is starting with the anti-police movement."

"That is exactly how Venezuela failed," said the congresswoman. "It was the richest country in South America. They had hyperinflation and then they implemented these price controls."

"My mother fled communist Cuba, but look what's happening in Nicaragua, in Venezuela. Look what's happening right now to our neighbors in South America and use them as the teacher," Rep.  Malliotakis said. "It's what happens when you implement these crazy policies."

"You're hearing all of that from today's Democratic Party and that is scary," Malliotakis added. "So, people should start asking people who fled Venezuela, ask some of those people that are coming over the border, the non-gang member ones, the ones who are actually coming to try to, get a better life or escape socialism and communism. Ask them about why they fled communism, why they fled Venezuela, and how they got there."

Food shortages will also come if price controls are implemented, Malliotakis concluded.

Our friends at AMAC, the Association of Mature American Citizens posted a great article that put Harris’s plan for the economy in its proper historical perspective.

Posted under the pen name “Ben Solis” the article explained that, while price controls are in theory an economic tool, their aim is always ultimately political. In Soviet Russia “the Bolsheviks created a fiction of a new miracle-making economic system” which was based on price controls. They then exported this fantasy to the West “in the hopes of using it as an instrument for subversion” of capitalist systems, where it took root in academia and fringe left-wing political groups.

In other words, price controls were the first step toward implementing full-scale communism.

Lenin attempted to conceal that this was his original goal and masked the price control system under the cover of ‘equitable development’ and ‘social justice.’ But this was a lie since his vision conflicted with human nature and natural laws.”

Likewise, the 2024 Democrat Party platform and economic agenda is rife with references and allusions to “equity” and “social justice.”

As part of this “equitable” agenda, Lenin recommended that the Party control the price of electricity, housing, and food supplies. Eventually, the Party’s implementation of these policies led to the disappearance of the old price system, with strict control maintained over prices in every industry. Shortages, debt, and waste followed, causing an enormous economic crisis and the eventual collapse of the Soviet Union.

Kamala Harris’s economic plan is nothing more than warmed-over Leninism. It’s been tried and failed in the Soviet Union, the old Warsaw Pact countries, and closer to home in Cuba, Nicaragua, and Venezuela.  Please join us in saying NO to Harris’s plan to MALV… Make America Like Venezuela.
