Harris’ VP Prospects All Far Left Democrat Progressives

NBC News reported yesterday that Vice President Kamala Harris' presidential campaign has requested vetting materials from five possible running mates, according to two sources familiar with the effort to review the backgrounds of those being considered.

The five Democratic vice-presidential contenders are allegedly North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper; Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro; Sen. Mark Kelly, of Arizona; Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer; and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.

Pennsylvania, Michigan, Arizona and North Carolina are among the critical battleground states that Harris may need to win the Electoral College in November.

Two other possible names NBC reported to be under discussion are Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker and former Rep. Cedric Richmond, of Louisiana, who has served as a Biden-Harris campaign co-chair, one of the sources said. It's not clear if the two received vetting materials.

It is unclear at this point whether Harris will seek some kind of ideological balance by choosing an alleged “moderate” like North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper or seek regional balance by choosing another liberal from the Midwest, like Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.

Here are brief rundowns on the top contenders:

North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper

Roy Cooper, 67, is another prominent Democrat governor of a critical swing state. Like Harris, he previously served as his state’s attorney general. The governor could help win over swing voters, since he won both his elections in North Carolina in 2016 and 2020, despite Trump carrying the state both election cycles. However, Cooper is no moderate – he’s all in for the LGBTQ++ agenda, has vetoed election integrity legislation, instituted pandemic policies later to be found unconstitutional and he vetoed a 12-week abortion ban bill, despite the fact that it had loopholes for rape, incest and the life of the mother.

Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro

Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro was elected in a landslide victory in 2022, Shapiro, who was previously Pennsylvania’s attorney general, has been floated by Democrats as a potential presidential prospect. During a stop in Philadelphia earlier this month, Harris called Shapiro a “great partner to the president and me,” Shapiro reciprocated and endorsed Harris immediately upon Biden’s withdrawal, calling her a “patriot worthy of our support.” Given the rabid anti-Semitism in the Democratic Party, Shapiro’s greatest handicap in the selection process may be his Jewish faith.

Arizona Senator Mark Kelly

Mark Kelly, 60, started his career in the Navy as an aviator before being selected by NASA as an astronaut. In 2011, his wife, then congresswoman Gabriel Giffords, was shot in the head during a mass shooting outside of a grocery store.  Kelly and Giffords became advocates for radical gun control measures such as universal background checks and other gun control measures. Kelly only looks like a “moderate” to Far Left outlets like CNN as he is a reliable vote for Chuck Schumer’s Far Left agenda.

Governor of Michigan Gretchen Whitmer

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, who won reelection in the crucial swing state in 2022 by roughly 10 percentage points, was eyed by Democrats as a top candidate to replace Biden atop the ticket. However, she quickly took herself out of the running and endorsed Kamala Harris. Whitmer is a virtual clone of Harris, favoring abortion to the moment of birth, oppressive gun control measures that ignore the Second Amendment, oppressive stay-at-home and business closures in response to COVID and the repeal of ballot security and election integrity laws. The knock against Whitmer is the suspicion that a Democratic Party “mean girls” ticket would be a hard sell.

Governor of Minnesota Tim Walz

Waltz has led the state through progressive policy wins in recent years, including enacting abortion protections, legalizing recreational marijuana, gun control and the defeat of election integrity bills proposed by Republicans. It is thought could help the Democratic ticket shore up support in the Rust Belt, where the electoral votes from the so-called "blue wall" of Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Michigan will be critical in deciding the 2024 election. Walz is a Far Left Progressive who is in complete alignment with Harris and the Far Left of the Democratic Party.

While other names, such as Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear and Senator from Georgia Raphael Warnock have been floated by the media none of them have been alleged to have received the coveted vetting package.

It is unclear at this point whether the Democrats will select an alleged “moderate” candidate for Vice President in an attempt to “move to the center” for the November election. The problem is, most “moderate” Democrats are moderate in name only.

As Jason Zengerle explained in an article for The New York Times Magazine, on “social, cultural and religious issues, particularly those related to criminal justice, race, abortion and gender identity, the Democrats have taken up ideological stances that many of the college-educated voters who now make up a sizable portion of the party’s base cheer but the rest of the electorate does not,” and that is especially true of Democrats who have made it through Democrat primaries for Governor or Senator.

Our big concern needs to be the GOP. They have botched every election cycle since President Trump was first elected in 2016. With the questionable selection of Vance for vice-president, those concerns are more valid than ever.

The terms " moderate liberal" and "moderate Democrat" are both a complete oxymoron and a contradiction in terms. That's the rough equivalent of saying there's such a thing as a moderate bite from a black mamba. In truth, all liberals aka Democrats aka Socialists are nothing but unmitigated Communisthypocrites who don't have the guts to admit to being who and what they really are.
