Hegseth and Bondi Confirmations Scheduled – Call Senators To Vote YES

Two of President Trump’s key cabinet nominees, Pete Hegseth for Secretary of Defense and Pam Bondi for Attorney General, have their first confirmation hearings scheduled for early this week and we urge CHQ readers and friends to call their Senators to demand they vote in favor of their confirmation.

Ms. Bondi, the former Attorney General of Florida, is scheduled to appear before the Senate Committee on the Judiciary on Wednesday, January 15th, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. The hearing will be conducted in Room 216 of the Hart Senate Office Building.

Pete Hegseth, combat veteran, FOX News contributor, and author of two books on our current military culture and its failings, is scheduled to appear before the Senate Armed Services Committee on Tuesday, January 14th, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. The hearing will be conducted in Room SD-G50 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building.

Democrats have already vowed to stall or stop President Trump’s cabinet nominees, with Hegseth and Bondi being at the top of their list, and the reasons for their opposition have nothing to do with their ability to manage and lead their respective departments in accord with President Trump’s agenda.

Indeed, it is because of their commitment to the Trump agenda and their plans to pry open and expose the Deep State secrets buried in their respective departments and crush the Deep State cabals within those departments that Democrats oppose their nominations.

In Mr. Hegseth’s case the vehicle for their opposition has been a well-coordinated campaign of personal smears and inuendo that have not been deployed against a cabinet nominee since President Reagan’s nomination of the late Senator John Tower to be Secretary of Defense was derailed.

But the real reason they oppose Hegseth is because he will be relentless in purging “wokeness,” Cultural Marxism, and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion from the Pentagon bureaucracy and our military and restoring it to the meritocracy that once made it the most lethal fighting force the world has ever seen.

The opposition to Ms. Bondi has been more subtle but is no less desperate.

As Attorney General of Florida Pam Bondi was the tip of the spear in opposition to many of the overreaches of the Obama administration.

She also defended Florida’s conservative policies on the right-to-life and homosexual “marriage.”

In 2014, a group of same-sex “marriage” advocates sued the state of Florida alleging the state was discriminating against LGBTQ residents by not recognizing “marriage” certificates from other states.

Bondi fought against the suit, arguing a 2008 ballot referendum in which 62% of voters agreed that the definition of marriage should be between a man and a woman was the reason she still opposed same-sex “marriage.”

“Anything less than the best defense of our voters’ policy preferences would disenfranchise the electorate, undermine the judicial process, and cast aside the professional responsibility that guides me every day as attorney general,” she said in a statement in 2014, reported by the Tallahassee Democrat newspaper.

And to really fire-up Democrat opposition, Pam Bondi effectively represented President Trump in one of his two phony impeachment trials.

We urge all CHQ readers and friends to share this important information widely. The Capitol Switchboard is (202-224-3121), we urge CHQ readers and friends to call their Senators TODAY to demand they vote to confirm Pete Hegseth, Pam Bondi, and each and every one of President Trump’s cabinet and subcabinet nominees.
