Our friend John Anthony – The Truth Monster – posted on his must-read Substack this clip of Robert F. Kennedy Jr’s withdrawal speech, with this brief but incisive commentary:
While announcing the suspension of his campaign, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. explains why he made that decision and left the Democratic Party. He makes clear, Republicans too, have eroded American’s health culture. Our nation is desperate for unity and now is the time for people to unite.
This is not party against party, but the American people against an out-of-control government.
John Anthony is right, it has become clearer by the day that "This is not party against party,
but the American people against an out-of-control government."
Mr. Kennedy’s remarks are brief and are definitely worth the time it takes to listen to them. They communicate a message that we think will resonate across party lines and give voters who are not traditional Republicans or conservatives reasons to join with us to retake our government and rein-in its out-of-control elements.
This “out-of-control government” exacts a heavy price from those who oppose it. As Mr. Kennedy explained, “This decision is agonizing for me because of the difficulties it causes my wife and my children and my friends,” Kennedy said. “But I have the certainty that this is what I’m meant to do. And that certainty gives me internal peace, even in storms.”
One item of evidence proving how quickly the Deep State adapts to preserve itself is the response of Democrat election officials to the news that Mr. Kennedy wanted off the ballot in key battleground states.
Democrat officials who fought tooth and nail to keep him off the ballot have suddenly changed their tune.
PBS reported that Kennedy already has secured ballot access in several states, including battlegrounds like Michigan and Nevada. Some secretaries of state said it’s too late for him to remove himself even if he wants to do so.
Cheri Hardmon, a spokesperson for Michigan’s Department of State, said its law requires presidential electors be selected at the fall state convention, and that already happened, which means his name will remain on the state’s ballot.
And in Wisconsin, where Kennedy has filed for ballot access and is awaiting approval, there is “no mechanism for him to ‘take back’ the filing,” according to Wisconsin Democrat Elections Commission spokesperson Joel DeSpain.
In Pennsylvania Kennedy has been forced to defend himself against a challenge by two Democratic activists who want him barred from the ballot and it remains to be seen if the Democrats in charge of the Keystone state’s elections will allow Kennedy to withdraw his rebuttal to their complaint.
However, AZFamily’s Digital News Staff reported Kennedy’s campaign successfully filed paperwork on Thursday to withdraw his name and his running mate’s name, Nicole Shanahan, from the Arizona ballot.
Kennedy’s Arizona withdrawal, confirmed by a spokesperson for the secretary of state, came less than a week after Kennedy submitted well more than the required number of signatures to appear on the ballot.
Mr. Kennedy’s wife, actress Cheryl Hines, to whom he has been married for more than a decade, posted on X this excellent summary of why RFK Jr suspended his campaign and endorsed Donald Trump, and it is worth noting how central the Democrats’ relentlessly undemocratic efforts to keep Mr. Kennedy off the ballot were to his decision to endorse Donald Trump:
The decision has been made to suspend my husband's, Robert Kennedy Jr.'s, presidency and I'd like to extend a sincere, deeply heartfelt thank you to every person who has worked so tirelessly and lovingly on his campaign. They have accomplished feats that were said to be impossible. They have gathered over a million signatures, more than any candidate in history, and have achieved ballot access across the country despite the roadblocks and lawsuits that have been brought against them for the sole purpose of keeping Bobby off of the ballots so no one would even have the opportunity to vote for him. I deeply respect the decision Bobby made to run on the principle of unity. Over the last year and a half, I have met some extraordinary people from all parties — Democrats, Republicans, and Independents. It's been my experience that the vast majority of all parties are truly good people who want the best for our country and for each other. It has been an eye-opening, transformative, and endearing journey.
Like Donald Trump, Robert F Kennedy Jr gave up a lot to challenge the Deep State and its enablers in the Democrat Party. We believe that his selfless decision to suspend his campaign and join forces with Trump and the MAGA Movement is worth sharing widely and we urge you to forward this column and video clip to all the family, friends, church members, civic club members etc. on your contact list.
