The Heavily Armed ‘Militia’ That Ran Out Of Gas In Massachusetts

Updated: Jul 6, 2021

Regular readers of CHQ will know that among the many topics we cover some of the recent top concerns would be the Constitution, the Second Amendment, and the pernicious rise of

anti-conservative bias in the establishment media.

But it is a rare occasion indeed when all three come together in one article, but such is the case in the weekend incident that shutdown I-95 near Wakefield, Massachusetts.

Massachusetts state troopers observed two cars with their hazard lights on along the side the road at about 1:30 a.m. Saturday morning. One of the cars was reportedly out of gas. When police approached the vehicles, they encountered almost a dozen people with guns and tactical gear who refused to put down their weapons.

The troopers wisely and with great restraint retreated, shutdown the highway and tried to figure out what was going on, but word about the standoff quickly spread – and the “heavily armed men” were automatically assumed to be supporters of former President Donald Trump and some reports were even accompanied by images of “white supremacists” with Confederate flags.

However, as things began to settle down for a long negotiation and the state troopers began to communicate with the 11 men, many of whom had bailed-out of their cars and were then set-up in a nearby woods, it turned out that the men weren’t “white supremacists” at all – they were part of the “Rise of the Moors,” a group of African-Americans who claim to be the aboriginal population of North America.

Got that – African-American militia, not “white supremacists,” so media hypocrisy and bias against conservatives boxes checked.

Then further research revealed that the “Rise of the Moors” subscribe to a host of views the media and FBI regularly ascribe to conservatives, including the whole panoply of “sovereign citizen” ideas about not needing a drivers license, the right to “peaceful journey” and the rejection of all government authority over their activities.

According to NPR reports, around 4 a.m., a man whom the Boston Globe identified as Jamhal Talib Abdullah Bey said he was broadcasting live from I-95 and said that he told police they had nothing to fear.

"I reassured them that we are not sovereign citizens," a man who appeared to be Bey said in a live-streamed video. "I reassured them that we are not Black identity extremists. I reassured them that we are not anti-police. I reassured them that we are not anti-government. I reassured them that these men here will not be pointing guns at them. I reassured them that we are trying to come to a peaceful resolution."

"We're going to our private land to train, which is our Second Amendment right," he said, showing a vehicle he said contained camping equipment.

So, Americans of whatever race, ethnic background or unusual religious and historical ideas exercising their God given right to keep and bear arms, as guaranteed by the Constitution’s Second Amendment – check.

"You can imagine 11 armed individuals standing with long guns slung on an interstate highway at 2 in the morning certainly raises concerns and is not consistent with the firearms laws that we have in Massachusetts," Massachusetts State Police Col. Christopher Mason told reporters.

Mason said he understood the suspects, who did not have firearms licenses, have a different perspective on the law.

So, the state government of Massachusetts, one of the most anti-Second Amendment jurisdictions in the United States infringing on the right of African-Americans to exercise their God given right to keep and bear arms – but no liberals objecting to them having their Second Amendment rights infringed – box checked.

And finally, the most interesting aspect of this weird start to the Independence Day weekend was that the whole thing was webcast on social media by Rise of the Moors leader, Jamhal Talib Abdullah Bey.

It turns out that the Rise of the Moors’ YouTube channel and social media accounts promote much of the same content and many of the same ideas that have gotten conservatives banned and their content taken down; being anti-vaxx, suggestions that the COVID virus is a bioweapon and casting doubt on the authority of the federal government – all OK for Rise of the Moors.

So, social media giants engaging in a double standard that prohibits conservative discussion of COVID origins, the limits of federal power and the 2020 presidential election but allows Rise of the Moors to promote their decidedly anti-government, anti-science views – box checked.

One final interesting item – the Department of Homeland Security put out an alert on July 1 warning of a possible militia rally in Washington D.C. on Independence Day. You can read about it through this link: DHS report warns of possible 4th of July militia gathering in Washington, D.C.. The July 4 warning came on the heels of last month’s release of the White House Domestic Violent Extremism strategy, which identified "white supremacists" as the top domestic terrorism threat.

Bottom line takeaway: It seems that in their systemic racism, it never occurred to the FBI, the establishment media and the social media oligarchs that anti-government and sovereign citizen ideas aren’t limited to white people, African-Americans share them too, and they are prepared to arm-up to defend them.

They're going to their private land to train? Perhaps they need to train somebody in logistics, since the ran out of gas. Even better, perhaps the FBI might want to put the "moors" on their radar...when they're done harassing patriotic Americans, that is.

How disappointed the woke deep state officials must have been that this wasn't a white supremacist Trump organization. The woke community, including the White House, are just salivating over the possibility that such a group exists and that they will start something soon.

Replying to

Yes, but you see it was REPORTED that way in the beginning, so it served their agenda regardless of the facts. Typical leftist tactic these days.

What's also interesting is the lack of outrage on the part of conservatives at the gross violation of their god given rights. Where are Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity, the NRA, and all the other so called "conservatives" to shine a light on the plight of these gentlemen?
