We think every conservative – and others who care about maintaining constitutional liberty and preserving our constitutional republic – should read former Speaker Newt Gingrich’s opening statement at yesterday’s hearing on judicial overreach. Speaker Gingrich gave a masterclass on the history of the legislative and executive branches reining-in the judiciary when it overreaches. The short summary of his statement is: We have a looming constitutional crisis because Chief Justice Roberts has so far refused to lead on this issue and Congress has been unable to act. Unless Congress or the Chief Justice acts, President Trump is left with no other alternative than to force a constitutional showdown in which the Supreme Court must act. Here is Newt’s opening statement at yesterday’s hearing: I thank Chairmen Issa and Roy, Ranking Members Johnson and Scanlon, and all the members of the Subcommittees for allowing me to testify. There is clearly a potential constitutional crisis involving the Judicial Branch’s effort to fully override the Legislative and Executive branches. Fifteen District Judges effectively seized control of various Executive Branch duties in the first six weeks of the current presidency through nationwide injunctions. This is potentially a judicial coup d’etat. It clearly violates the Constitution and more than 200 years of American history. To set the stage for this hearing, let me mention 12 former federal judges appointed by President John Adams: Richard Bassett, Egbert Benson, Benjamin Bourne, William Griffith, Samuel Hitchcock, Phillip Barton Kay, Jeremiah Smith, George Keith Taylor, Oliver Wolcott Jr., Williams McClung, Charles Magill, and Williams Tilghman. President Adams appointed these Federalist judges on his way out of office to hamstring incoming President Thomas Jefferson’s agenda. President Jefferson concluded that impeaching the judges would take too much time. He and the Congress simply abolished the courts in which they served via the Judiciary Act of 1802. This is constitutional balance of power. The Legislative and Executive Branches can reshape the Judiciary Branch. It is a useful reminder in considering the current situation. Unelected lower-court judges have been steadily grabbing power for years. It was such an obvious threat that in 2012, Vince Haley and I wrote “ Bringing the Court Back under the Constitution .” It is an historic study which I am submitting for the Record. According to Harvard Law Review , there were 96 nationwide injunctions ordered by District Courts from 2001 to 2023. Two-thirds of them (64) were issued during President Trump’s time in office. Furthermore, 92 percent of the injunctions against President Trump were issued by judges appointed by Democratic presidents. Since January 20, 2025, lower courts have imposed 15 nationwide injunctions against the current Trump administration. This is compared to six during George W. Bush’s eight-years, 12 during Barack Obama’s eight years, and 14 during Joe Biden’s four-year term. The notion that unelected lawyers can micromanage the Executive Branch – and override a Commander in Chief who received 77.3 million votes – should trouble every American. This is particularly troubling for issues of national defense and public safety. Around 500 B.C., Sun T’zu asserted in The Art of War  that “speed is the essence of war.” How can the United States have speed in national security issues if opponents can judge-shop to find someone ambitious or arrogant enough to block, repudiate, or delay the President’s decisions? There are 677 authorized district judgeships. How many think they can override duly elected Presidents? This summary statement has four propositions: First,  the courts have often been challenged. President Jefferson wrote “judges as the ultimate arbiters of all constitutional questions… would place us under the despotism of an oligarchy.” President Andrew Jackson was in constant fights with the Supreme Court. President Abraham Lincoln made the Dred Scott decision expanding slavery a center piece of his 1858 senatorial campaign. In his first inaugural President Lincoln warned that if the Supreme Court had supreme rule, “the people will have ceased to be their own rulers, having to that extent practically resigned their Government into the hands of that eminent tribunal.” Second,  as the Judiciary Act of 1802 proves, the Legislative and Executive branches can constitutionally defend their rights – and they have in the past. It is historically and constitutionally wrong to think the Legislative and Executive branches are helpless against Judiciary actions. Third,  the Supreme Court could intervene to eliminate this attack on the Executive Branch by District Judges. Chief Justice Roberts could end the growing confrontation by establishing a rule that any nationwide injunction issued by a District Court against the Executive Branch would be suspended in implementation and immediately taken up by the Supreme Court. This would remedy the lengthy appeals process. Fourth , the Congress and the President can take decisive steps toward bringing the Judiciary back into a constitutional framework. This hearing is a good first step. There could be a series of hearings on the constitutional and historic framework which ensures no single branch of government can acquire dictatorial powers – specifically the Judiciary in this committee.   These hearings would educate the members and the American people. They would create a national understanding of the need to defend the Constitution against overreaching branches of government.   I would also recommend the Congress pass Chairman Issa’s No Rogue Rulings Act, which is a good signal to the Courts that they have gone too far. As our friend John Anthony explains in his must-read Truth Monster Substack , as vaccine injuries continue, the FDA/CDC continues lying. Finding conclusive data on the safety and efficacy of the COVID-19 injections has been tough. The CDC  manipulates  official reports,  limits  mortality  data and   hides  critical  information , while the FDA had to be  sued  to release Pfizer’s trial data and still  refuses  to release autopsy results on people who died after taking the shots.   While they were closeting away information, the same agencies flooded the internet, media, physicians’ publications, hospitals, and universities with their  contrived  studies and often manufactured recommendations. (We can only hope that RFK, Jr will bring more transparency to this shady agency.) But citizens are uncovering the truth about mRNA and the entire COVID-19 episode. Scientists Petition to Revoke mRNA Licenses. On January 21, 2025 a group of scientists and legal experts  petitioned  the FDA to “revoke or suspend” the licenses granted to Pfizer and Moderna for their modRNA COVID-19 products because: The FDA improperly granted exclusions from trial testing which prevented the products from being properly reviewed and evaluated. There was excessive DNA contamination which has “been detected in vials and in the bloodstream of human recipients.” The petitioners included: Kevin McKernan, former R&D Team Leader at the Whitehead Institute/MIT Center for Genome Research, Human Genome Project, and Chief Scientific Officer and Founder of Medicinal Genomics Dr Jessica Rose, Mathematician, Immunologist, Computational and Biochemical and Molecular Biologist Dr David J. Speicher, Virologist L. Maria Gutschi, Pharmacy Consultant The petition references the FDA’s own guidelines and definitions, and studies in Australia, Germany, and France showing DNA contamination levels up to 534 times the regulatory safety threshold. These have the potential to cause widespread cancers and increased deaths. From the report: “German researchers detected synthetic DNA contamination levels between 360 and 534 times above the regulatory safety threshold in the Pfizer Covid-19 drug, including SV40 promoter and enhancer sequences.” Data Analysis Shows Pfizer Likely Increased Mortality by 14% March 26, 2025,  Steve Kirsch , co-inventor of the optical mouse, researcher, and data analytics expert revealed an analysis of Czech Republic data showing large increases in all cause mortality (ACM) among the vaccinated populations. Because U.S. data is obscured Kirsch came up with a  novel way  to back into the actual ACM caused by the Pfizer vaccine using the Czech records. “Basically, we know from the  Czech Republic data  that the Moderna vaccine is at least a 20% increase over ACM (since it is a 20% increase over Pfizer). “From VAERS, we find that there were 1.4X more Moderna death reports than Pfizer on a per dose basis. If we use that as a fixed value (a 20% increase over baseline), then we simply use the differential brand mortality reporting ratio in VAERS for death events per dose and we can use the chart above ( source code ) to get the number which is 14.3%.” Kirsch supplies more information on the  Czech  databases. The Empty Arguments Against VAERS Critics of VAERS info Kirsch references discount the system claiming it overreports adverse effects and because an injury is listed in VAERS does not mean the vaccines were the cause. Both arguments fall apart under scrutiny. Rather than VAERS overreporting as claimed by the CDC and others, a 2010  study  by Harvard Pilgrim Health Care showed massive underreporting. The system is time-consuming, times out if you hesitate or are distracted, and is accompanied by a bold warning of prosecution for falsifying reports. All go to deter participation. According to the Harvard study, “Likewise, fewer than 1% of vaccine adverse events are reported.” It is interesting to note that, despite requests, the CDC failed to fully cooperate in finalizing the Harvard study. As for correlation versus causation, the VAERS reports are not designed to identify causes only to alert the CDC to signals that require study. Instead, the agency dismissed most of the reports which led to citizens filling the gap. Researchers Develop a Tool to Track VAERS Entries The CDC’s poor response plus the sudden deletion of 6000 reported injuries prompted a team of researchers to develop a  tool  that tracks reports on the VAERS system and enables vaccine-injured people to follow what happens to their reports after they are issued. React19 , founded by a small group of medical professionals injured by  COVID-19   vaccines , works with institutions and providers to increase understanding and awareness of patients experiencing lasting effects following COVID-19 and/or COVID-19 vaccines. The group is teaming up with computer programmer Liz Wilner, founder of  Open VAERS  — a website that provides tools for more easily accessing and searching VAERS data — and  Children’s Health Defense  (CHD) to develop the tool. Group Sued CDC to Force Release of Internal Records In December 2021, the Informed Consent Action Network  sued  the CDC to gain release of data from their internal V-safe platform, a system the CDC maintains is more accurate than VAERS. It took a judge’s order and more than a year for the agency to begin releasing documents. The data, when finally released, was shocking.  Of to 10 million registered users, 780,000 reported they had to seek medical care at least once following receiving the COVID-19 shot. 7.7% of all registered users required medical attention. In addition to the 7.7% needing medical care,  another 25%  reported being unable to perform normal activities and/or missing school or work following vaccination. Just When You Think the CDC Can’t Sink Lower It gets worse. Turns out the CDC cherry-picked the data it did release. The V-safe report captured report data at 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 weeks after the shot, and then at 3, 6 and 12 months after the shot.  The CDC only provided reports for the 1st 7 days! Autopsies and reports show there are numerous COVID-19 shot-related injuries happening weeks and months after the injections.  The 7.7% reported injuries is only a portion of the adverse events. There are two lessons. One, at least up until the new administration, nothing the CDC or FDA says, writes, or otherwise claims can be taken at face value. Two, and more importantly, people are researching, and telling the world the scientific and medical truth about COVID-19 and the cataclysmic response. Upon entering office, President Donald J. Trump declared an emergency at the border, sent thousands of additional troops to the region, shut off the asylum system to illegal crossers and commenced a mass deportation effort all across the country. Now, illegal crossings along the southern border reached  another new low  last month as President Trump makes good on his promise to stop the invasion and secure the homeland. It’s called the “Trump Effect.” In March, Border Patrol encountered just  7,181 illegal immigrants  at the southern border. Compared to the same month under Biden, that represents a 95% decrease from 2024 (137,473), a 96% decrease from 2023 (163,672), and a 97% decrease from 2022 (211,181).  The  Los Angeles Times   reports  “migrant crossings have slowed to a near halt” along the California-Mexico border, where Border Patrol agents are making just “30 to 40 arrests per day … down from more than 1,200 per day during the height of migrant arrivals to the region in April.” Illegal aliens are “scared there are consequences now,” one DHS source told the New York Post, adding “everyone who is caught is charged and does time.”   “Illegal entries into the United States are no longer a backdoor way to getting status,” said another source.   Most of the roughly 7,000 crossings took place in the San Diego and El Paso border sectors, sources told the New York Post.   Meanwhile, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has “maxed out” its detention space and is asking Congress to fund additional beds to support its mass deportation campaign that yielded 32,000 arrests in its first 50 days.   The Trump administration is ramping up efforts to deport Tren de Aragua gangbangers and members of MS-13, 17 of whom were handed over to El Salvador Sunday night, Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on X.   The latest removals come as the Trump administration continues to pursue a court battle to continue its effort to deport suspected gangbangers to El Salvador’s gang member mega prison. 2024 Election MAGA Agenda Illegal border crossings Joe Biden administration illegal immigration Tom Homan alien deportations San Diego sector El Paso sector ICE

Reciprocal trade relations are only one piece of President Trump’s new tariff policy, which starts tomorrow, Wednesday, April 2, 2025. The other piece is the idea that tariffs can be used as a diplomatic tool to prompt other countries to act on non-trade related matters – such as border control and illegal drug smuggling – and those remain the subject of ongoing negotiations. Mexico, Canada and China are America’s three largest trading partners, accounting for about $1.4 trillion worth of US imports annually. For context, US gross domestic product clocked in at $27.36 trillion in 2023, according to the US Bureau of Economic Analysis, as reported by the New York Post. The old Republican Party always claimed to be in favor of “free trade.” However, their idea of “free trade” was to allow foreign competitors to undercut American producers in our domestic markets, while doing nothing when our trading “partners” imposed tariffs on our exports or even excluded American goods from their domestic markets. The Democrat half of the DC Uniparty was happy to contribute to the destruction of our domestic manufacturing by enacting ever-increasing layers of regulations on American producers – environmental, labor, even DEI, while ignoring the labor and environmental practices of our competitors. The result was that over many years we “off shored” many industries, and the jobs that went with them, in the name of tough environmental and labor regulations. So, when Trump, during his June 28, 2016, remarks in Monessen, Pennsylvania, called the loss of American heavy manufacturing and the creation of the “Rust Belt” a politician-made disaster he was right on the money. As Trump put it back in 2016: We allowed foreign countries to subsidize their goods, devalue their currencies, violate their agreements and cheat in every way imaginable, and our politicians did nothing about it. Trillions of our dollars and millions of our jobs flowed overseas as a result. I have visited cities and towns across this country where one-third or even half of manufacturing jobs have been wiped out in the last 20 years. Today, we import nearly $800 billion more in goods than we export. We can’t continue to do that. This is not some natural disaster, it’s a political and politician-made disaster. In that analysis Donald Trump was correct, and his prescription of tariffs as a way to equalize costs is exactly what our trading “partners” have done for years. Michael Pettis, who is a senior associate at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, has made a splash with a contrarian, historicized observation about tariffs that goes against the general opposition to tariffs voiced by most economists. Even more notable, he has had some nice things to say  about Trump’s plans for aggressive trade reforms. “Done under current circumstances,” Pettis wrote, “tariffs could increase employment and wages in the United States, raising living standards and growing the economy.” However, there’s another angle to President Trump’s tariff policies that has gotten lost in all the media whining over the potential price increases for Mexican avocados, Canadian whiskey and Chinese Christmas tchotchkes. And that’s the idea that tariffs can be used as a diplomatic tool to prompt other countries to act on non-trade related matters – such as border control and illegal drug exports. In that regard the Red Chinese were the first ones to get the message, but so far, they don’t seem to be inclined to act on it. Indeed, Communist China’s foreign ministry said, “Fentanyl is America’s problem… The Chinese side has carried out extensive anti-narcotics cooperation with the United States and achieved remarkable results.” While the Red Chinese have refused to take responsibility for pushing fentanyl on Americans, the Canadian and Mexican governments have taken some steps to address the non-trade related aspects of President Trump’s tariff policies. On March 7, Border Patrol Chief Michael Banks told FOX News: "I do believe we are seeing Mexico put a lot of their troops on our southern border to prevent the illegal immigration from even making it to the border to attempt to cross." And in a reversal of “hugs not bullets” policy toward cartels, Mexico is preparing to target fentanyl labs with U.S. support. Canada is reinforcing the border with new choppers, technology and personnel, enhanced coordination with American partners, and increased resources to stop the flow of fentanyl.   Nearly 10,000 frontline personnel are and will be working on protecting the border.    In addition, Canada is making new commitments to appoint a Fentanyl Czar, list cartels as terrorists, ensure 24/7 eyes on the border, launch a Canada- U.S. Joint Strike Force to combat organized crime, fentanyl and money laundering.   And before leaving office, former Prime Minister Trudeau announced he signed a new intelligence directive on organized crime and fentanyl and would back it with a new $200 million commitment. I have been warning that the global forces are working on new tactics to keep their agenda of control moving forward even in the wake of President Donald Trump’s efforts to stop them at the federal level. Trump has shocked the nation as he has exposed the massive amount of federal funds that have been flowing into the coffers of non-governmental organizations (NGOs). These are the well-trained shock troops that lead the charge to push the agenda piece by piece.   For several decades, federal agencies have been at the center of the attack, targeting private property ownership, community development, and energy use. Through the scare- mongering of the climate change myth, international building and plumbing codes were used to enforce the global agenda. Water sources, energy sources, and private property were targeted for control. Programs with names such as What Works Cities, Urban Growth Boundaries, and, of course, Sustainable Development have been the weapons to steadily move every state and every community to the exact destiny of top-down control, with state and local governments powerless to decide their own futures.   Now, as federal agencies such as HUD, EPA, and the Federal Department of Transportation are facing Trump’s massive layoffs of agents and funding, the ability of the agencies to pressure local and state governments is greatly reduced. But the global forces knew this was coming. They knew Trump was going to win the election and cause them trouble at the federal level. So, they prepared for it.   That’s why the World Economic Forum (WEF) met last October in San Francisco in a major gathering called the “Urban Transformation Summit.” The goal was to prepare new tactics to keep the agenda of control moving forward at the local level. One of the main tools of choice is to push for more non-elected regional government. Regional government is not a new tactic, but it doesn’t have to be tied to federal policy. Regional government can be sold to the people as just local, local, local. The agenda can be forced into place as a local choice, helping it to appeal to more conservative advocates who might believe it’s all about limited government.   Such a perception of regional government is absolutely untrue and MAGA advocates must fully understand what they are about to face and be prepared to stop it. Here is some history.   In the mid-1960s, author Jo Hindman wrote about Urban Renewal and metro-planning. In her book, Blame Metro , she said, “Much is written about the incognito warfare on United States soil which public officials and their accomplices are waging to wrest private property from landowners. The strategy is to make property ownership so unbearable by harassment through building inspections, remodeling orders, fines and jailings, that owners give up in despair and sell to land redevelopers at cut-rate prices. Positive municipal codes are the weapons in the warfare.”   She wrote, “‘Strengthening county government’ is a hackneyed Regional phrase indicating that the Regional take-over has begun. . .. Planning assistance subsidized by Federal money leads small cities and counties into direct obedience under a regional master plan. Land use rights are literally stolen from landowners when zoning is applied to land.”  That fits perfectly for the forces looking for effective tactics to keep their agenda moving forward. Private property protection is a threat to control.   Hindman says, “The present-day (1960s) crew of planners, drawing no line between public and private property, believe that land-use control should be vested in government and that public planners should have sole right to control the use of all land.”   Of course, one of the main NGO forces pushing the regional plans as it works in local communities is the American Planning Association (APA), which was formed in 1978 by combining the American Institute of Planners and the Society of Planning Officials. However, now, under the new situation, federal regulations and funding are in great doubt. Working in local communities may make some small progress, but they have an entire nation to conquer. How is that going to happen?   The plan is called “America 2050, New Strategies for Regional Economic Development.”   America 2050 is a joint venture of NGOs called Regional Plan Association (RPA) and Lincoln Institute of Land Policy. The goal is to develop a balanced and sustainable growth strategy nationwide.   America 2050 is organized around the idea that 11 megaregions, home to three quarters of the nation’s population, are the economic engines of the nation and the new competitive units in the global economy. …its focus is the development of a national growth strategy. Each megaregion focuses around at least one major metropolitan area. Of course there are the usual culprits, including New York City, Chicago, Boston, Richmond, and Los Angeles. There are also large areas such as the Great lakes Megaregion that extends into parts of Canada, and the Southern Rocky Mountain Megaregion covering large western areas between Colorado and Wyoming. In all, the major national populations will be covered.   And what does the RPA and its allies have planned for us with its local regionalism? Says RPA, “ our professional researchers and regional planners seek to improve prosperity, sustainability, and quality of life through work in transportation, economic development, and real estate, environment and open space, and more.   Of course, all the usual plans based on climate change protection, such as the 15 Minute Cities with the stack and pack living conditions, eliminating the need for cars, and controlling energy use. RPA documents list the goals to be environmental systems, infrastructure systems, economic linkages, settlement and land use patterns.   Yep, the future of controlled megaregions promises all kinds of freedom of choice for the citizens! NOT! Incredibly, the RPA’s own reports tell us that their “ inspiration to address… an economic development strategy comes from the territorial cohesion program in the European Union…” . We know where Europe now sits in the drive for individual freedom and limited government! Don’t waste too much time looking for private property across Europe.   But that’s not all RPA has planned for us as we sweat in our megaregions. According to their reports, RPA is focused to “hold ourselves accountable for progress in diversity, equity, and inclusion.”  That’s right, they plan to keep the plan moving locally to prioritize diversity: “ As a leading voice in regional planning, it is imperative that we guarantee our events and panels do not exhibit homogeneity and instead reflect the diversity that we see in our region and nation.”   “At RPA, we have a commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion… For more than 100 years…RPA has developed and promoted the economic health, environmental resilience, and quality of life of the New York-New Jersey-Connecticut metropolitan area. Over the course of those years, white men have predominantly filled leadership roles… Furthermore, urban and regional planning have contributed to institutional or systemic racism within our cities, suburbs, and other communities across the nation. With this understanding of urban planning history and cognizance of the influence of RPA on the shaping of the region in the past 100 years, it is imperative that RPA commits to fostering a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of our work”   Americans who are today fighting for the goal to reestablish our freedoms, and who are cheering the incredible steps President Trump is taking to limit the massive federal intrusion in our lives — please hear this warning. The forces of control never give up. We keep hearing the news media and Republican leadership report that these forces are finished, that they have no plan! No leadership.   That is absolutely untrue. They never quit. They have a plan with new tactics to enforce the same horrible future of control. To stop it we must be organized locally to pressure and assure that your councilmen and state legislators to say NO to these global pirates. We must change the debate. The bill was introduced in the House by Congressman Chip Roy (R-TX) and in the Senate by Senator Mike Lee (R-UT). It will immediately and simply fix the holes that exist in the current system and protect the integrity of our elections by ensuring that only citizens vote in U.S. elections! Those who want to leave our registration and election systems vulnerable to fraud claim that because it's "already illegal" for noncitizens to vote, it's not happening. Yes, you read that right. They want you to believe that nobody ever breaks a law and crime doesn't exist.   The stark reality is that the 2026 election could be swayed by illegal votes cast by people who are not U.S. citizens. This is an immense violation of the rights and privileges granted to us by our status as citizens, and it is a grave problem that must be solved. The good news is that it can be solved by patriotic Americans like you! There are different ways we can stop noncitizens from affecting our election. You can push Congress to pass the SAVE Act, you can help get out the conservative vote, you can serve as poll workers and poll watchers, and you can join the Only Citizens Vote Coalition . Whether a U.S. citizen is a Democrat, a Republican, a Libertarian, a member of the Green Party, an Independent - whatever ideologies and policies a citizen supports - every citizen's votes are diluted by illegal votes cast by noncitizens. In fact, Tea Party Patriots Action fielded a poll to see what the American people think about noncitizens voting and registering to vote. 87% agree that only citizens should be allowed to register to vote, and 86% agree that only citizens should be allowed to cast a vote.   A 1996 law makes it clear that it is illegal for noncitizens to vote in federal elections, meaning for members of Congress and for president. However, a 1993 law that required every state to accept the federal voter registration form uses only a checkbox on the form to indicate citizenship status. There is NO requirement to show documentary proof of citizenship to register in any state or even when registering from overseas! We applaud President Trump for his comprehensive Executive Order on Election Integrity, and especially for the section on investigating the security of electronic voting machines, where too much secrecy and gross violations of the public’s right to know have rightly undermined confidence in our elections.   But an Executive Order only goes so far, and it could all be undone by a future Democrat President Congress will vote on a bill this week to close a gross flaw in our ballot security when the SAVE Act comes to the Floor of the House for a vote. The United States Postal Service recently announced that conservative author, scholar and pioneer, William F. Buckley, Jr., will be commemorated on a postage stamp.  The honor comes in time to mark the centennial of Buckley’s birth. The postage stamp, just like paintings and statues, serves as a reminder of the most influential people, places and events that shaped the nation.  Buckley is one of the most important political figures who never held elected or appointed office. (He did run for mayor of New York City in 1965 but lost in a landslide). Buckley, who wrote fifty books, founded National Review magazine, and hosted the debate television program Firing Line, stands as the tallest, and most visionary conservative activists. WFB, as he signed correspondence, was brought up in a privileged environment, and attended Yale University. He was a Renaissance man who played the harpsichord and was a skilled yachtsman. One of his oft-cited quotes was “I'd rather entrust the government of the United States to the first 400 people listed in the Boston telephone directory than to the faculty of Harvard University,” a sentiment that has only grown more accurate with age. At the age of only twenty-five, Buckley authored his first book, “God and Man at Yale: The Superstitions of Academic Freedom.” Several years after graduating from the university, he levelled harsh criticism at some faculty members were foisting secular views on students and trying to shake their religious views.  Nearly three quarters of a century later, we are fighting the same battles that Buckley had the wisdom to identify. When launching National Review  four years later, he explained, “It stands athwart history, yelling Stop, at a time when no other is inclined to do so, or to have much patience with those who so urge it.”  It became the most vital voice of conservatism in the U.S.  Its website, National Review Online , carries on that tradition. On September 11, 1960, Buckley called a meeting of young conservative leaders at his home in Sharon, Connecticut.  The founders of Young Americans for Freedom signed what became known as the “Sharon Statement,” one of the original documents of modern conservatism. This credo made such bold pronouncements as “ That the purpose of government is to protect those freedoms through the preservation of internal order, the provision of national defense, and the administration of justice; That when government ventures beyond these rightful functions, it accumulates power, which tends to diminish order and liberty; That the Constitution of the United States is the best arrangement yet devised for empowering government to fulfill its proper role, while restraining it from the concentration and abuse of power. It also stated, “That when government interferes with the work of the market economy, it tends to reduce the moral and physical strength of the nation; that when it takes from one man to bestow on another, it diminishes the incentive of the first, the integrity of the second, and the moral autonomy of both.” These are only a few highlights of Buckley’s eighty-two years. But we must ask: who are the left-wing thinkers, polemicists and activists who deserve to be memorialized on a stamp or in other art forms? In other words, who is the American Left’s William Buckley?  Who is responsible for defining left-wing ideology and motivating others to put those ideas into practice? They may point to writers such as I.F. Stone and Noam Chomsky, but they did not inspire political movements or devise a winning governing philosophy.   It is ironic, considering the Left’s domination of Hollywood, the media, and higher education that no one of Buckley’s stature can be found. Today, the Left brays about shutting parents out of school board meetings, urging schoolchildren to keep secrets from their parents regarding gender identity.  A recap of quotes from the American Left in 2024 shows hatred, disdain for religion, and justification for murder of those the Left deems deserving.   The Postal Service has done a great thing to remind Americans of a life well lived and a legacy that has inspired millions.  America’s liberals have a paucity of accomplished individuals to whom they can point for a lasting legacy.  Author Kevin P. Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on March 27 announced major changes at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), including the merging of some divisions, in a bid to become more efficient, reported our friends at the Epoch Times. Kennedy said that in addition to consolidating divisions, mass layoffs will reduce the full-time HHS workforce by about 25 percent from 82,000 workers.   Kennedy said that the transition will be painful but that “we are going to do more with less.”   The reorganization, which will take 28 divisions down to 15, is expected to save $1.8 billion a year, health officials said.   The division that will be most affected is the Food and Drug Administration, with about 3,500 workers being fired, according to HHS. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s workforce will be reduced by about 2,400 employees. Some 1,200 employees at the National Institutes of Health will no longer have jobs. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, another division, will move forward with about 300 fewer workers, reported Zachary Stieber for Epoch Health. The CDC and NIH have long been in the crosshairs of the MAGA Movement for their lies justifying the overbearing and abusive handling of the COVID pandemic and the subsequent injuries sustained by millions of Americans who were subjected to forced vaccination using experimental mRNA vaccines.   During Secretary Kennedy’s run for President his incisive criticism of the vaccine mandates and Dr. Fauci’s role in the lies and abuses that accompanied them drew a substantial and committed following.   When Secretary Kennedy abandoned his campaign and endorsed President Trump he brought along a substantial group of supporters and added MAHA – Make America Healthy Again – to the MAGA coalition. Kennedy said rates of chronic disease rose under the Biden administration even as the government grew. He pitched the changes as a way to refocus the agency on Americans’ health, but did not outline any specifics on how he would mediate rates of diabetes, heart disease or any other condition, complained the New York Times, without rebutting Secretary Kennedy’s central premise that spending more at HHS has not produced healthier Americans. The New York Times reported the affected agencies have campuses outside of Washington and “tend to operate under their own authority,” which we note might be a central part of the need for reorganization, since they have no authority other than that derived from the President’s Article II authority under the Constitution. Secretary Kennedy, who has long been at odds with the government health establishment, assailed them, and vowed to bring them to heel.   “When I arrived, I found that over half of our employees don’t even come to work,” he claimed. “H.H.S. has more than 100 communications offices and more than 40 I.T. departments and dozens of procurement offices and nine H.R. departments. In many cases, they don’t even talk to each other. “Byron Donalds would be a truly Great and Powerful Governor for Florida and, should he decide to run, will have my Complete and Total Endorsement,” President Donald Trump posted on his TRUTH social media site. “RUN, BYRON, RUN!” And principled limited government constitutional conservative U.S. Rep. Byron Donalds has taken President Trump’s encouragement to heart and will officially kick-off his 2026 campaign for Governor of Florida tonight. The campaign kick-off rally, set to take place in Bonita Springs in the heart of Donalds’ southwest Florida congressional district. “I am excited to launch our campaign for Governor in Southwest Florida, where I first started fighting for our Conservative principles in the Tea Party movement,” Donalds said. “I am grateful for all the support we have received—especially President Trump’s—and look forward to celebrating with friends and family.”   Kick off rally details: The event will take place on Friday, March 28, at Sugarshack Downtown, located at 27421 Old 41 Rd., Bonita Springs, FL 34135. Doors will open at 4 p.m., with programming beginning at 6:30 p.m. and concluding at 8 p.m. Donalds made the initial announcement of his intention to run during an appearance on Fox News’ “Hannity.”   “After a lot of prayer, a lot of thought, I’ve decided to announce my candidacy for the governor of Florida,” said Donalds. Getting a leg up on the other potential candidates, including Gov. DeSantis’s wife Casey, Donalds enters the race with President Donald Trump’s endorsement. Donalds has been a frequent Trump surrogate and was on the short list to be his vice presidential running mate last year. Donalds is seeking to succeed Gov. Ron DeSantis, who is ineligible to seek another term after eight years in office due to term limits.   The 46-year-old Donalds, who lives in Naples in southwest Florida, was born and raised in Brooklyn. He graduated from Florida State University. He was working as a financial adviser when then-Gov. Rick Scott appointed him to the board of trustees at a state college, cementing his rise in the state GOP. He entered the Florida House in 2016, won a seat in the U.S. House in 2020 and has been on the short list for multiple opportunities ever since, including being nominated in January 2023 by House conservatives as a candidate for House speaker, noted the Associated Press.   After Trump’s endorsement, Donalds indicated that he would make an announcement soon and said he was “committed to working with him to Keep Florida Great.” In a speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference on Feb. 21, Donalds said Trump has called him to talk to him about running.   “Florida is not going to stop leading,” Donalds said. “We’re going to build off of what we’ve done, and we are going to continue to lead bigger, better, faster, greater, safer, freer, because the American dream is for everybody, and we’re going to show the other 49 states how to get it done.” We first became acquainted with Rep. Donalds and his wife, Erika Donalds, through their work to transform public education and direct more taxpayer dollars into private and charter schools in Collier Country, Florida. A former county school board member, Erika Donalds runs a company that oversees charter schools and a virtual academy and was seen as a possible Cabinet or subcabinet addition to the second Trump administration. In addition to Casey DeSantis, other potential GOP candidates include Florida Agriculture Commissioner Wilton Simpson, although his star tarnished a bit due to his opposition to more vigorous immigration enforcement, he could gain support from Florida’s powerful  agriculture industry. Polling reported by our friends at the independent conservative news site Florida’s Voice shows Byron Donalds ahead of Casey DeSantis in Florida governor primary. President Donald Trump pollster Fabrizio Lee & Associates, hired by the Donalds campaign, found the congressman sits at 34% support among Florida Republican likely voters, while DeSantis is at 30% – a four-point advantage for Donalds.   The poll found Agriculture Commissioner Wilton Simpson at 3%, with the rest undecided.   Meanwhile, when voters are informed Trump had endorsed Donalds, the congressman’s support soars to 45% while DeSantis’ support declines to 23% – a wide 22-point lead for Donalds.
