It doesn’t matter if the controversy is large or small, or even true and a real controversy. Remember, the issue is never the issue, the issue is the Revolution. For the Marxist – the Communist – every field of human endeavor is a battleground and an opportunity to advance the Revolution.

Quiet Riot: Joint session to confirm Trump’s win set to go smoothly this time
Susan Ferrechio and Kerry Pickett, Washington Times
Some Democrats this week will no doubt simmer over certifying President-elect Donald Trump’s White House win, but there isn’t much they can do about it, thanks to a new law to prevent the chaos that gripped the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. Some Trump critics are calling on Democrats to block Mr. Trump’s win when Congress convenes Monday to certify the election results, but there’s barely a murmur of insurrection on Capitol Hill, where lawmakers must adhere to a new measure that makes such a protest much harder to pull off.

An Outrage, and Then a Tragedy, in New Orleans
Scott McKay, The American Spectator
Is it more plausible that someone radicalized him, supplied him, gave him a prime-quality jihadist blueprint to work from and set him off on his bloody errand, and he managed to botch the execution of the plan just as he botched his life? What say you, Christopher Raia? And what say you, Sen. Kennedy? Will you raise that fresh hell you promised now that the FBI has demanded you buy their tragic pig in a poke? There is no credibility left in that agency. It shouldn’t be the lead investigative agency on major terrorist events ever again.

Trump’s Inaugural Address and the 25th Amendment
Daniel Oliver, American Greatness
Everyone close to him must have known: every cabinet member, every Democrat member of Congress who met with him, every member of the press—everyone. They were all complacent in the cover-up, deliberately deceiving the American public. What a scandal! Trump’s reference to the long cover-up will make liberals unhappy, but in a few short paragraphs, Trump can focus the nation’s attention on both the nightmare the liberals made us live while reassuring us that the nightmare is over and that it won’t happen again, at least not on his watch.

Washington Ramps Up Security After New Orleans, Las Vegas Attacks
Stacy Robinson, The Epoch Times
Every January brings a few important political events to the nation’s capital, and this year local law enforcement have beefed up security protocols following two terror attacks in New Orleans and Las Vegas on New Year’s Day. “Any time there is an incident such as what happened in New Orleans, we always heighten our security, and here in the District we will continue to do the same today and throughout the rest of the week,” Metropolitan Police Department Chief Pamela Smith told reporters the morning after the attacks.

Why Chefs Like Me Support RFK Jr.’s Crusade To Make Food Better And Healthier
Andrew Gruel, The Federalist
This country needs a fresh perspective. Systems must be revamped to bring “health” back into the food equation. Let’s look at the bigger picture: Healthy food will result in a healthy population, and a healthy population reduces health care costs. We have allowed ourselves to become addicted to processed foods, unhealthy ingredients, and poor production techniques. The solution will not happen overnight, but we need to start somewhere. Kicking this can down the road will only make the solution more difficult at the expense of all Americans.

Virginia Legislation Would Require Parents Provide Consent for Children to Use Social Media
Tom Pappert, The Star News Network
Legislation filed last month in Virginia would require social media companies to obtain verifiable parental consent before allowing minors to create accounts on social media platforms, effectively raising the age for Virginia’s existing parental consent requirement from 13 to 18, while also prohibiting the sale of data collected about children. Senate Bill 783, sponsored by State Senator David Suetterlein, requires social media companies to obtain “verifiable parental consent” before any minor Virginian can create an account.

Tormentor of J6ers Resigns Ahead of Trump Inauguration
Julie Kelly, Substack
After Donald Trump’s victory, Graves continued to charge J6ers despite Trump’s promise of pardons. His prosecutors are attempting to hasten jury trials and sentencing hearings before January 20. The tables soon may turn on Graves and perhaps his line prosecutors, who reportedly are lawyering up over fears they will face investigation for their role in the J6 prosecution. But even if Graves ultimately faces legal consequences, the human damage he inflicted can never be undone. That will require a higher sort of justice.
