How many times have you read a “you gotta read this book” book review that starts by disagreeing with the entire premise, or at least the implication of the title of the book, but such is my take on “The Man Who Invented Conservatism” an important new book by Daniel J. Flynn, whose writing for the American Spectator I respect so much.

Ukraine Is A Domino NATO Must Not Let Fall

Ukraine is not a member of NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) and therefore, there is no NATO obligation to defend Ukraine from Russian aggression. However, it is in the interests of NATO countries to help Ukraine monetarily and militarily to maintain its independence and prevent further Russian aggression in other countries (the domino theory). The appeasement of Western democracies to Hitler in buying “peace in our time” directly led to World War II.

On September 19, 2025 President Donald J. Trump signed a Proclamation to restrict the entry into the United States of certain H-1B aliens as nonimmigrant workers, requiring a $100,000 payment to accompany or supplement H-1B petitions for new applications to curb abuses that displace U.S. workers and undermine national security.
