Consider the tiny and insignificant Eustachian Tube: It is a vital tube which connects your inner ear with the back of your throat and nasal passage. While small, it has an important use. How many of us have found ourselves with an ear infection -- this tube becomes clogged, and we spend a lot of time blowing our noses, making funny sounds (see Felix Unger in the movie The Odd Couple) taking antibiotics and otherwise doing everything we can to clear the tube and relieve the inner ear pressure.
