Our friend Tom DeWeese, President of the American Policy Center has issued an urgent call to action: Your personal freedom is at stake through the unregulated growth and siting of massive AI data centers, and so are the lies and attacks against data center opponents, such as APC.
Here are the facts: People in communities and neighborhoods across the nation are hurting and they are scared. That’s why they are rising up in large numbers.
- Hundreds attend local city council meetings to express their concerns.
- Thousands are signing petitions to demand their governments stop these huge buildings that are changing the very culture of their communities.
- Farmers are crying for help as they are forced to surrender their property to be put under the roofs of the data centers.
People have experienced water shortages as suddenly nothing comes out of their tap. Many of these data centers are being built right on the edge of neighborhoods, some within a few hundred feet of homes, destroying property values.
Worst of all, many local elected officials are working directly with the builders of these massive facilities, and they are signing non-disclosure agreements (NDA) to hide their plans. As a result, suddenly data center construction begins to appear with no warning.
- Is this what we now call local representative government? Who do they represent?
- These are the reasons why local Americans are standing up to stop this assault.
- Do local residents have the right to decide how their community is developed and controlled?
- Do homeowners have the right to protect their own property and quality of life?
People are opposing these developments in their communities because they are suffering from the effects coming directly from the existence of the data centers.
And one of the worst effects of the data centers is noise pollution. A loud rumbling sound that goes on for twenty-four hours a day. It’s loud. It will disturb your sleep. Imagine trying to sit in your backyard and enjoy a meal on your patio!
This is total destruction of your quality of life.
Now add to these attacks to your property and community development the installation of 94,000 Flock Cameras designed to watch and record every single thing you do.
AI enhanced Flock cameras can now analyze videos with the power of facial recognition, recording everywhere you go, who you associate with, what you buy, everything you think, do, and say.
They call them license plate cameras for safety! That is absolutely not true.
Those Flock cameras are NOT owned by your local municipality. Flock and Google own them and that information from the cameras goes directly into their global data banks.
That’s the reason why they need these massive data centers – to collect all that information plus enforce digital bank accounts and digital passports on you for total control of your life!
But now if we citizens question this and fight to stop it, WE are attacked and labeled “ANTI-TECH TERRORISTS!”
As Mr. DeWeese observed to CHQ:
I’ve spent five decades of my life fighting Communist lies and threats. Do you think I would now take money and support from the Chinese communists to help them destroy my beloved nation?
The truth is I have been working directly with local citizens who are facing damage from AI data centers in their own neighborhoods. They are the ones packing local city council meetings. All they want is for their government to listen and protect their property rights and the culture of their communities.
The good news is that the movement to stop the AI data center threat is having a major impact. This is a real grassroots movement of genuine American citizens, and it is having some incredible success!
Polls are showing that more than 70% of the American people are opposed to the data centers. And local citizen efforts have stopped or at least paused more than 50% of proposed data centers.
The issue has become a major focus in local elections as citizens in several communities around the country have managed to remove elected representatives who have supported the data centers. Others have been defeated in elections.
Through grassroots political action data center opponents can – and will – win this fight and restore reason and elected representation to our communities. And the promoters of this threat know that.
That’s the very reason why the forces behind the data centers are in a panic to stop us. And they will tell any lie necessary to do so.
As Tom DeWeese explained to CHQ:
Let me state this clearly – I am not against technology. But I am strongly opposed to its use to damage the freedoms our founding fathers fought to secure.
If the AI technology helps our military to fight more effectively and even save the lives of our soldiers – then absolutely use it. The same for using it in health care to aid in curing disease. I’m for it. And if it helps in research or making certain methods faster – go for it!
But if it’s used to invade my personal privacy, take control of my bank accounts, damage my property values, and build massive data files on everything I do in my life THEN IT MUST BE CONTROLLED OR STOPPED!
This land belongs to the people – not to Big Tech, concluded Mr. DeWeese. And we agree.
