You know you are entering the peak Democrat desperation phase of any political campaign year when the New York Times and other Leftwing media outlets start publishing polls showing Republicans getting trounced in the upcoming election, while the polls also show voters overwhelmingly reject Democrat policies.
In the space of a couple of days the New York Times posted leading articles asking “Is A Blue Wave Coming?” “Our experts predict who will win the midterms” (hint: not Republicans), and “What exactly is a wave election?” with the suggestion Republicans should be on high alert for one coming to swamp them.
With fewer than 50 days until the midterms, the New York Times claims Democrats have developed a clear advantage over Republicans as President Trump has lost the public’s trust on the economy, according to a New York Times/Siena poll.
Yet at the same time, roughly half of U.S. voters view socialism unfavorably in a new poll conducted by The New York Times and Siena University. The results show that despite democratic socialists scoring significant victories against the Democratic establishment, the movement remains unpopular with much of America.
Among likely voters, 51 percent held an unfavorable view of socialism in the poll, compared with 31 percent who viewed it favorably. The poll did not define either socialism or democratic socialism for respondents.
More tellingly, voters nationwide were twice as likely to say they would rather not support a democratic socialist candidate (30 percent) than support one (13 percent).
Republicans have homed in on Americans’ fears about socialism, featuring it heavily in their recent midterm convention and in attack ads. And the ads seem to be having a growing effect, about 5 percent of voters who said they wanted the Republican Party to retain control of Congress said their vote was primarily motivated out of fear of socialism or communism.
Five percent doesn’t seem like much until you realize 43 congressional races (37 House + 6 Senate) were decided by 5 percentage points or fewer. According to Ballotpedia, that represents about 9% of all 2024 congressional elections. Democrats won 26 of those close races and Republicans won 17.
Another poll conducted by NBC showed that a whopping 77% percent of Independents have a bad view of socialism — while Democrats keep electing socialists for US Senate and House in key races, such as Michigan and Texas.
What the Leftwing establishment media is doing with this demoralization campaign is simple and predictable: Telling voters not to believe their own eyes and ears and to ignore the deeply unpopular positions of the Democrats’ Far Left socialist and communist candidates.
Control of Congress is decided in 435 individual House and 100 individual Senate elections, not through a national “generic ballot.”
Smart Republican candidates, like Mike LiPetri running for Congress in New York’s 3rd Congressional District have recognized that the “generic ballot” is largely meaningless and that they win by running against their specific Democrat opponent who is going to be vulnerable on the all the crazy socialist positions and policies.
Senate Majority Whip John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) explained the choice Republicans planned to put before the voters, saying, “This election is going to be a clear choice between Republican, commonsense individuals and these crazy, radical Democrats who have taken their party so far to the left.
Senator Barrasso further explained the Republican message, pointing out, “…these Democrat candidates have come out with a manifesto. And their manifesto calls for raising taxes on American families to pay for healthcare for illegal immigrants. So, the Democrats want to put taxes back on servers, hair stylists on their tips. They want to put taxes back on firefighters and nurses on their overtime. They want to put taxes back on Social Security.”
He then broke down the campaign for control of the Senate state-by-state:
When you take a look at a number of these candidates – the candidate in Minnesota says that Immigration and Customs Enforcement is evil. She wants to rip it apart.
You go state by state. The candidate in Florida, she’s a card-carrying member of the Democrat Socialists of America.
In Kansas, the candidate for the United States Senate says it’s wrong for us to eat beef. And he goes so far as to say we should repent for having eaten meat because it’s a violation of his climate religion.
In Texas, the candidate – the Democrat candidate – for Senate says he wants to put out a welcome mat for illegal immigrants to come into the country.
In Michigan, the candidate there wants to take away our guns. And he goes further. He actually campaigns – his campaign partner is someone who says America deserved what happened to us with the terrorist attacks on 9/11.
“So, this is the choice the voters are going to have to choose this fall. Is it going to be commonsense Republicans, crazy Democrats who really do seem like an anti-American hate group,” concluded the Senate’s Republican Whip.
Senator Barrasso is right, the Democrats have clearly laid out what they want to do. Now it is up to Republicans to brand Democrats as the radical Leftwing Socialist and Communist Party. Draw the contrast with Democrats who want to open the borders, have voting rights for illegal immigrants, open the prisons and put criminals back into our communities. All while they defund the police, defund the military.
The Democratic Party’s new Far Left Socialist and Communist agenda is deeply unpopular and deeply distrusted by a majority of voters. The only way they can win is to demoralize Republican and conservative voters into staying home and not voting – don’t let them win that way. Have a plan to vote, vote, and make sure fifteen conservative friends have a plan to vote and vote too.
