In a recent episode of his must-watch podcast our friend Dan Bongino coined a new word, doomerslop, for those alleged conservatives who are constantly promoting the idea that we should just give up, because victory in the midterms for the Democrats and their Marxist and Muslim allies is inevitable.
In episode 2608 of The Dan Bongino Show, Bongino took aim at what he called "doomer narratives," and used that day’s time to push back against alleged conservative internet commentators and voters who argue that political efforts are pointless, that nothing is changing, or that the MAGA movement is collapsing.
Bongino countered these claims (and he was right) by arguing that substantial political reforms are actively happening and urged his audience not to give up hope and to get to work to win the election and keep the momentum for the MAGA Movement and the Trump agenda going.
What Bongino was talking about and warning against was succumbing to the latest iteration of the Left’s demoralization campaign – information warfare that in some form has deployed before every election for decades – but has gained a new and more effective delivery method with the rise of social media.
In our observation, purveying “doomerslop” has become a business model for some alleged conservative commentators and so-called internet influencers.
To drive up click rates and revenue, doomerslop videos or essays lack any real substance and recycle the same negative talking points, relying on emotional vibes rather than data, nuanced advice, or actionable solutions.
This Fear-Farming is classic information warfare aimed at demoralizing the target audience by using content engineered with alarming titles (e.g., "Why everything is collapsing" or "We are officially doomed") explicitly designed to trigger anxiety AND drive high click-through rates.
It’s a win-win for the Democrats, their Marxist and Muslim allies, and the anti-Trump Republicans, who get to make lots of money while advancing the defeat of President Trump and the MAGA Movement.
One of the long-time techniques of doomerslop is the release of polls weighted against Trump and Republicans.
As @DataRepublican noted in a post to her must-read feed on X, the polls are full of contradictory and in some cases improbable results.
And especially polls published by the Leftwing establishment media, such as the New York Times, that are regularly weighted against Republicans.
You know you are entering the peak Democrat desperation phase of any political campaign year when the New York Times and other Leftwing media outlets start publishing polls showing Republicans getting trounced in the upcoming election, while the polls also show voters overwhelmingly reject Democrat policies.
In the space of a couple of days the New York Times posted leading articles asking “Is A Blue Wave Coming?” “Our experts predict who will win the midterms” (hint: not Republicans), and “What exactly is a wave election?” with the suggestion Republicans should be on high alert for one coming to swamp them.
With fewer than 30 days until the midterms, the New York Times claims Democrats have developed a clear advantage over Republicans and that President Trump has lost the public’s trust on the economy, according to a New York Times/Siena poll.
Yet at the same time, roughly half of U.S. voters view socialism unfavorably in a new poll conducted by The New York Times and Siena University. The results show that despite democratic socialists scoring significant victories against the Democratic establishment, the movement remains unpopular with much of America.
Republicans have homed in on Americans’ fears about socialism, featuring it heavily in their recent midterm convention and in attack ads. And the ads seem to be having a growing effect, about 5 percent of voters who said they wanted the Republican Party to retain control of Congress said their vote was primarily motivated out of fear of socialism or communism.
Five percent doesn’t seem like much until you realize 43 congressional races (37 House + 6 Senate) were decided by 5 percentage points or fewer. According to Ballotpedia, that represents about 9% of all 2024 congressional elections. Democrats won 26 of those close races and Republicans won 17.
Another poll conducted by NBC showed that a whopping 77% percent of Independents have a bad view of socialism — while Democrats keep electing socialists for US Senate and House in key races, such as Michigan and Texas.
What the Leftwing establishment media is doing with this demoralization campaign is simple and predictable: Telling voters not to believe their own eyes and ears and to ignore the deeply unpopular positions of the Democrats’ Far Left socialist and communist candidates.
The Democratic Party’s new Far Left Socialist and Communist agenda is deeply unpopular and deeply distrusted by a majority of voters. The only way they can win is to demoralize Republican and conservative voters into staying home and not voting – don’t let them win that way.
So, ignore the doomerslop, and get engaged in winning the election. Here are four simple, things you can do to save America, and you don’t have to do all four; pick one if your time is limited and commit to carrying it through until the polls close on November 3, 2026. And, have a plan to vote, vote, and make sure fifteen conservative friends have a plan to vote and vote too.
