Today’s Secure Freedom Minute with Frank Gaffney: The Democratic Party has a problem. The mascot for its 2026 campaigns has become a Marxist-jihadist named Hasan Piker. His virulently anti-American social media posts appeal to young people indoctrinated to hate their country. So, Michigan Senate candidate Abdulrahman el-Sayed and his Texas counterpart, James Talarico, have welcomed Piker’s support.
But, not all Democrats favor the destruction of our country and some – like patriotic Republicans and independents – actually take offense at its trashing by Piker, who prefers al Qaeda, Hezbollah, Iran and Hamas.
What’s a party to do?
Democrats’ cynical, and fraudulent, answer is pretend that they don’t actually know Piker. As el-Sayed put it, he’s just “some Twitch streamer.”
Yet tomorrow, the Democrat student group at University of Texas Austin is paying Piker $100,000 to revile America on its campus. That’s not “free speech.” That’s a paid, and odious, spokesman.
