Illegal Alien Truck Drivers Targeted In Florida Crackdown

In the wake of the killing of three American citizens by an illegal alien issued a commercial driving license by not just one, but two Democrat “sanctuary states,” Florida has announced an all of government war on illegal aliens driving big rigs in the Sunshine State.

“Last week, three people died after an illegal immigrant made an illegal U-turn on Florida's turnpike. This accident happened because of Joe Biden's failed border policies and immigration policies,” Agriculture Commissioner Wilton Simpson said.

Attorney General James Uthmeier cited a Sunday night arrest in Bay County as evidence of what he considered a growing problem.

“There's no telling how many illegal aliens are in this country driving large commercial vehicles and putting American families in a safety risk every single day,” the conservative rockstar behind Alligator Alcatraz said.

The attorney general added that authorities will continue to crack down on, and intercept, individuals who may have entered Florida from so-called sanctuary states.

Last week, Uthmieier shared news that more than 200 illegal aliens were detained last week in state law enforcement efforts.

“We’ll continue to get them to Alligator Alcatraz or other places, and we will combat in court activist judges that want to shut down these facilities,” Uthmeier said.

Officials say Roberto Carlos Vergara Cervantes of Ecuador was caught driving a commercial truck with a New Jersey license. He is being held on an ICE detainer and faces deportation. Uthmeier also urged federal action, sending a letter to the U.S. transportation secretary calling for suspension of California and Washington CDL programs, WPTV reported.

According to our friends at Florida’s Voice, Agriculture Commissioner Wilton Simpson said the state will enforce the president’s April executive order requiring English proficiency for commercial drivers.

“Today we are putting people who break the law on notice. If you come through these stations and you are an illegal or breaking the law, you will be handed over to our local or federal partners,” Simpson said.

Simpson said the state currently has 23 interdiction stations, and an additional station is being added at U.S. Highway 231. Additionally, he said they are installing pullover lanes along the northern border.

The state is expanding agricultural law enforcement operations, adding new pull-over lanes along the northern border, installing truck X-ray machines, and bringing on dozens of new troopers. The X-ray machines will scan the trucks as they pull through interdiction stations.

“This will be another major tool in the effort to fight these types of crimes. And I also want to thank Ag Law and the Legislature for doing such an amazing job of pulling these things together,” Simpson said.

We urge CHQ readers and friends to contact the U.S. Department of Transportation through this link. Tell Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy you want illegal aliens off our roads and out of our country.
