In a big win for CHQ and conservatives, our endorsed candidate, former Navy SEAL Adam Schwarze, locked up the Minnesota Republican Party Convention endorsement in the race for U.S. Senate Friday night on a sixth ballot.
Schwarze broke the threshold to clinch the endorsement over former sports broadcaster Michele Tafoya, with 62 percent of the vote. Six candidates initially entered the race.
Schwarze said he would continue the fight to the November election and would work to support candidates down the ballot.
“You don't have to compromise on values. We can hold life. We can support our Second Amendment rights. We can support our First Amendment rights. We don't have to compromise on this race,” he said in his acceptance speech.
In Minnesota’s unique nominating system, Schwarze must still defeat Michele Tafoya in the August 11, 2026 primary election to become the Republican Party’s official nominee, after Tafoya vowed to stay in the race, despite being rejected at the Party convention.
We urge CHQ subscribers and friends to go here to make their most generous contribution to help ensure Adam Schwarze wins the August 11 GOP Primary and is on the ballot to defeat Sharia-loving Democrat Peggy Flanagan in November.
Of the two, Adam Schwarze is the clear conservative choice, and the strongest candidate to take the fight to – and defeat – the Far-Left candidate of the Democrats nominee, Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan.
Adam Schwarze is a native son of Minnesota, an athletic working family kid, who, on his 18th birthday in October 2001, just weeks after 9/11, joined the Marine Corps and later became a Navy SEAL. He deployed nine times to over 70 countries, risking his life to defend the Constitution and the American way of life.
In clinching the Convention endorsement, Schwarze largely ignored his Republican opponents, concentrating his fire on the Minnesota Democrats and their failed policies that have wrecked what used to be a state with the best quality of life in America.
As Adam Schwarze observed in a recent conversation with CHQ, under the Democrats, led by Governor Tim Walz and Democrat Senate nominee Lt. Governor Peggy Flanagan, Minnesota has been destroyed by the radical Leftist policies that fueled the violent 2020 unrest in Minneapolis, defunded the police, and burdened hardworking families with higher taxes and crushing inflation. While Minnesota cities burned, Flanigan and the Democrats pushed lawsuits against law enforcement, undermining the cops on the street that keep everyday Minnesotans safe.
Adam further pointed out this is just the first step, if Leftwing radicals like Peggy Flanagan become the majority in the U.S. Senate, they’ll gain unstoppable momentum to push their extreme national agenda across the country: open borders, abolishing ICE and the police, boys in girls’ sports, attacks on free enterprise, and even advancing a growing pro-Hamas Muslim movement right here in America.
Adam Schwarze won the Convention endorsement by taking his campaign on the road and building a real grassroots army - driving from county to county to introduce his campaign to grassroots Republican activists and leaders. Rather than relying on being selected by DC insiders he did the hard work of putting together a people-oriented ground game - long days, tons of events - meeting as many potential voters as possible.
And the results speak for themselves: In the runup to the Convention Adam Schwarze won nearly all of the straw polls conducted by local Republican organizations across Minnesota. Those straw poll victories tell us that Minnesota’s conservative activists want an unabashedly conservative GOP Senate nominee who will take the fight to the Democrats in Minnesota AND the Uniparty when he gets to Washington, DC.
Between his multiple deployments Adam Schwarze earned a Master’s from Harvard, a Johns Hopkins certificate in Security and Nuclear Deterrence, and an MBA.
Forged in the crucible of war, and the highly selective and demanding discipline of the SEALs, Adam Schwarze has proven himself to have the brains and commitment to conservative principles to see – and defeat – the Democrats and the blandishments of the DC Uniparty.
And, most importantly, he is running his campaign on a solid agenda of unabashedly conservative issues and a grassroots-up strategy.
In his pre-convention campaign Schwarze largely ignored his Republican opponents, concentrating his fire on the Minnesota Democrats and their failed policies that have wrecked what used to be a state with the best quality of life in America.
How a candidate conceptualizes their campaign strategy is important, and looking back over our 50+ years in conservative politics, the record of media personality candidates, such as Michelle Tafoya, of actually winning elections is pretty slim, and their record of actually advancing the conservative agenda when elected is even slimmer, but Tafoya, having been blessed by the kingmakers in DC has vowed to contest the nomination in the August Primary, even though she lost at the Convention.
We believe Adam Schwarze, with his conservative activist grassroots-based campaign, is the right candidate to win November’s general election and defeat radical Leftist Democrat nominee Peggy Flanagan. We urge CHQ subscribers and friends to go here to make their most generous contribution to help ensure Adam Schwarze wins the August 11 GOP Primary and is on the ballot to defeat Sharia-loving Democrat Peggy Flanagan in November.
PS: We urge all CHQ readers and friends to share this important information widely. Forward this message to your family, friends, neighbors, church and civic club mailing lists and encourage them to donate to Adam Schwarze’s campaign NOW, to ensure that he wins the August 11, 2026 Republican Primary and goes on to defeat Far-Left Democrat Peggy Flanagan in November.
