A coordinated network of socialist and communist groups are organizing and promoting Austin’s “spontaneous” anti-ICE protest, according to new reporting from @M_Dorgan and Asra Nomani @AsraNomani at @FoxNews Digital.
Judging by media coverage and social media posts, Austin does look like a war zone after the ICE shooting. However, the action looks far from “spontaneous.” You can see the foreign flags and pre-printed signs being waved everywhere. So, who IS behind the "spontaneous" anti-ICE protests in Austin, Texas?

The network includes the Democratic Socialists of America @DemSocialists, Freedom Road Socialist Organization @FreedomRoadOrg and the Party for Socialism and Liberation @PSLNational, which works closely with the nonprofits funded by pro-China tech tycoon Neville Roy Singham.
Media reports said protesters “quickly organized” after an ICE agent shot Venezuelan national Wilber Rafael Garcés Pérez in Austin. But the organizers’ own social media posts show how established activist groups turned the shooting into a national political action that they branded "spontaneous."
According to the timeline developed by Ms. Nomani, the "spontaneous protests: started this way:
Sunday Sept. 20
🔺 12:56 PM -- The shooting happens near Anderson Square and Research Boulevard.
🔺 4:19 PM -- The Party for Socialism and Liberation’s national account posts: “BREAKING. MAN SHOT BY ICE AGENTS IN AUSTIN.” It calls on supporters to protest and declares: “ICE OUT OF AUSTIN NOW!”
🔺 ~4:19 PM -- The Party for Socialism and Liberation’s Austin chapter shares the post in collaboration with the national account and chapters in Houston, San Antonio, Dallas-Fort Worth and Waco.
🔺 ~4:30 PM -- Freedom Road Socialist Organization, an openly Marxist-Leninist group, also publishes dramatic material about the shooting. Its graphic declares: “ICE SHOOTS AN UNARMED CIVILIAN.”
🔺 ~4:30 PM -- Austin’s Democratic Socialists of America posts an “Emergency Demonstration/Vigil” graphic. It tells supporters: “Join us at 8121 Research Blvd from 5-8 p.m. for a spontaneous protest and vigil against yet another instance of ICE and police violence.”
🔺 ~5:30 PM -- BreakThrough News, a pro-communist media platform operated by Singham-funded BreakThrough BT Media, publishes a “BREAKING NEWS” video from Texas declaring: “Austin erupts in protest…”
Austin’s KVUE TV crews reported they saw water bottles being thrown at law enforcement as people crossed the street and moved closer to police tape. Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) troopers began putting on gas masks, while Austin police officers lined up nearby in what appeared to be riot gear.
Law enforcement then used chemical agents to push the crowd back.
Later, law enforcement pulled back from the immediate area, and the crowd moved into the street, blocking traffic as the protest continued.
At one point, KVUE crews saw some people throw rocks at a car that was trying to drive through the area. APD said three of its department's vehicles were damaged and three officers sustained minor injuries.
As Ms. Nomani observed, the phrase “spontaneous protest” is revealing and misleading. The demonstration turned riot was promoted by organizations with established activist networks, national accounts, local chapters and media outlets that could amplify the same message within minutes.
The established Far Left Marxist activist networks involved in the Austin riot include:
🔺 The Party for Socialism and Liberation describes itself as a “revolutionary socialist” movement that seeks to open “the way to communism and the end of class society.”
🔺 It works alongside Singham-funded organizations, including the People’s Forum, BreakThrough News, CodePink and the ANSWER Coalition. Lawmakers are investigating the groups for fomenting "chaos" in America.
🔺 Neville Roy Singham is an American-born tech tycoon living in Shanghai who has funneled $285 million into far-left nonprofits and media organizations.
🔺 His network includes propaganda platforms that have rapidly turned the Austin shooting into national content.
By Monday, the Austin network was calling for activists to get “boots on the ground” at the Pearsall detention center where the detainee is being held, to continue the action in Austin according to a pattern established in violent protests at other ICE detention facilities.
As Asra Nomani’s reporting establishes, the Austin protests aren't an unplanned outburst. The immediate trigger was the shooting. The organizing infrastructure comes from the communist and socialist protest network that are prepared to, at a moment’s notice, foment chaos on America's streets.
