These positions and candidates are not controversial – they are mostly ambassadors and the midlevel implementors of the Trump agenda, and as long as these positions remain unfilled the Deep State remains in charge of the agencies voters elected President Trump to run.
It is time to tell Senate Republican Majority Leader John Thune he must not allow the Senate to continue its two-and-a-half-day work week when about half President Trump’s subcabinet nominees remain to be confirmed.
Click here to go to Align Act to send Senators an email demanding they get to work and confirm President Trump’s remaining nominees.
As our friend Steve Moore observed in his latest Committee to Unleash Prosperity Hotline, six months into Trump's presidency, fewer than half of his nominees to political positions have been confirmed by the GOP-controlled Senate.
This is a scandal.
What kind of a business could operate profitably if a new CEO had fewer than half the company's managers on the job?
Trump is right to demand a vote on every pending nominee before Senators leave town for their month-long August recess. If they can't manage that, they should stay in Washington until they do their job.
The Washington Examiner reminds us that "Senate Democrats unilaterally changed Senate rules in 2013, so only 50 votes are now needed to advance nominees through the Senate."

Here’s a simple message for Senators:
Senators should be embarrassed to be putting in only two and a half days a week while President Trump is working 24/7. As your constituent I demand the Senate work at least five days a week until President Trump’s nominees are confirmed to manage the government and implement the agenda we voted for.
