Today’s Secure Freedom Minute with Frank Gaffney: In less than two months, Texan Republican primary voters can help determine the future of our constitutional Republic by countering Islam’s toxic sharia ideology. Its adherents explicitly seek to replace our government with a global theocracy.
The ballot measure simply says “Texas should ban sharia law.” It’s been prompted by increasingly aggressive efforts by sharia-supremacists to demand accommodations that would translate into non-Muslims’ submission to their totalitarian code.
These include: the creation of what amount to Muslim-only communities; taxpayer subsidies for jihadist Islamic organizations; mosque tribunals administering anti-constitutional sharia restrictions; and measures that effectively oblige everyone to consume “halal” foods consecrated to the Muslim god, Allah.
Texas should indeed ban sharia, and a resounding vote to do so there will encourage the rest of America to do the same.
