The One Big Beautiful Bill puts a stop to that. By passing the One Big Beautiful Bill, Medicaid will be protected for generations of American citizens — thwarting Democrats’ attempts at destroying it by funding benefits for illegals on the backs of hardworking American taxpayers.
Hospitals cannot legally turn away any individuals during a medical emergency, regardless of legal status. A report by the Congressional Budget Office estimates spending for that pot of money reached $27 billion between 2017 and 2023.
"For years, Americans have been told that illegal immigrants are barred from receiving federal benefits to distract from Washington’s complete failure to secure our borders,” said Senator Mike Lee. "This is a lie. Millions of illegal immigrants “paroled” into the United States, many for fraudulent asylum claims, have gained the ability to access welfare and aid programs originally designed to help American families, not attract and support massive populations of foreign citizens.”
“Over the last four years, the unprecedented and unmitigated crisis at the southern border has devastated our communities. As long as we provide taxpayer funded social services to illegal immigrants, there is no physical barrier or number of border patrol agents that will stop them,” said Rep. Jody Arrington. “To add insult to injury, we’re paying $9,000 per illegal immigrant - more than we spend on Medicaid for our most vulnerable Americans or military retirement benefits for our soldiers.”
The provisions of the America First Act, now in the Big Beautiful Bill cut off federal benefits for illegals and are expected save American taxpayers over $177 billion.
The Big Beautiful Bill does even more to make good on President Trump’s commitment to American citizens by fully funding border security — providing for 10,000 new ICE personnel and 3,000 new Border Patrol agents to detain and deport at least one million criminal illegal immigrants annually and giving $10,000 annual bonuses in each of the next four years to our frontline heroes.
