The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) has now taken long overdue action to counter the growing threat posed by violent far-left terrorist groups.
OFAC sanctioned Autistici Inventati, an Italy-based entity that supplies specialized digital architecture, tools, and services for Antifa cells and other violent far-left extremists, including a foreign terrorist organization; Palestine Action, a United Kingdom (UK)-based organization proscribed as a terrorist group by the UK government in July 2025; and the transnational group Masar Badil, which operates as a front for the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, a designated Foreign Terrorist Organization.
“Far-left extremists, their fronts, and their enablers should be on notice: We will bring the full weight of our economic tools to bear,” said Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent. “Political terrorism has no place in our society, and we will continue to cut the financial lifelines of these groups until they are eliminated.”
As Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said in July at the Ministerial on The Resurgence of Political Terrorism, globally networked and politically-motivated terrorists—particularly far-left terrorists—are increasingly embracing organized, deadly violence in pursuit of their objectives. Treasury’s actions today reinforce the United States’ commitment to confronting this resurgence and disrupting the infrastructure that allows these groups to operate, coordinate, and spread violence across borders.
This action is being taken pursuant to the counterterrorism authority, Executive Order (E.O.) 13224, as amended, and is long overdue.
As we explained back in 2014, during the riots in Ferguson, Missouri, the savage attacks against civilians in Israel and the serial outbreaks of civil disorder and attacks on police officers in America may seem disconnected, but they are not.
Each has its roots, and funding, in the radical anti-Western anti-democratic forces that hope to overthrow constitutional government in America and destroy the Jewish state.
And each has been aided and abetted, and is indeed sustained by the radical-Left in the Western media who have made heroes of the cop-killing thugs of the “Black Lives Matter” movement in America and “victims” of the savage Palestinians who stab innocent Israeli women and children.
As Bret Stephens formerly of The Wall Street Journal once observed:
If you’ve been following the news from Israel, you might have the impression that “violence” is killing a lot of people. As in this headline: “Palestinian Killed As Violence Continues.” Or this first paragraph: “Violence and bloodshed radiating outward from flash points in Jerusalem and the West Bank appear to be shifting gears and expanding, with Gaza increasingly drawn in.”
Read further, and you might also get a sense of who, according to Western media, is perpetrating “violence.” As in: “Two Palestinian Teenagers Shot by Israeli Police,” according to one headline. Or: “Israeli Retaliatory Strike in Gaza Kills Woman and Child, Palestinians Say,” according to another.
Such was the media’s way of describing two weeks of Palestinian assaults that began when Hamas killed a Jewish couple as they were driving with their four children in the northern West Bank. Two days later, a Palestinian teenager stabbed two Israelis to death in Jerusalem’s Old City, and also slashed a woman and a 2-year-old boy. Hours later, another knife-wielding Palestinian was shot and killed by Israeli police after he slashed a 15-year-old Israeli boy in the chest and back.
Other Palestinian attacks include the stabbing of two elderly Israeli men and an assault with a vegetable peeler on a 14-year-old. On Sunday, an Arab-Israeli man ran over a 19-year-old female soldier at a bus stop, then got out of his car, stabbed her, and attacked two men and a 14-year-old girl. Several attacks have been carried out by women, including a failed suicide bombing.
Nowhere in the left-leaning Western media is it explained that these attacks are not random – they are instigated by Muslim imams preaching hate in Palestinian mosques and by the Palestinian “government” itself.
“Brothers, this is why we recall today what Allah did to the Jews,” one Gaza imam said last Friday in a recorded address, translated by the Middle East Media Research Institute, or Memri, and quoted by Stephens. “Today, we realize why the Jews build walls. They do not do this to stop missiles but to prevent the slitting of their throats.”
Then, brandishing a six-inch knife, he added: “My brother in the West Bank: Stab!”
But how is that exhortation to “stab” any different than what you hear from #BlackLivesMatter thugs and their inciters – like Louis Farrakhan – right here in America?
Appearing on his Justice or Else! Tour at the Metropolitan African Methodist Episcopal church in Washington DC, Farrakhan said, "Death is sweeter than watching us slaughter each other to the joy of a 400-year-old enemy. Death is sweet. The Quran teaches persecution is worse than slaughter."
"10,000 in the midst of the million … 10,000 fearless men who say death is sweeter than continued life under tyranny," he added.
In appealing to the Quran, Farrakhan said, "Retaliation is a prescription from God to calm the breasts of those whose children have been slain. So, if the federal government will not intercede in our affairs, then we must rise up and kill those who kill us. Stalk them and kill them and let them feel the pain of death that we are feeling."
"So, if the federal government will not intercede in our affairs, then we must rise up and kill those who kill us," he said. "Stalk them and kill them and let them feel the pain of death that we are feeling."
The media has long given Farrakhan a pass for this race-war rhetoric, just as the legacy news networks refuse to cover Antifa thugs chanting death threats against ICE agents and the police, even as they castigate authorities, such as White House "border czar" Tom Homan, for their get tough on crime rhetoric.
But there’s more than a chilling rhetorical connection between Antifa, Farrakhan and Middle East terrorists in their similar calls to Islam-inspired violence.
In August, over than 1,100 Black activists, artists, scholars, students and organizations signed a statement that calls for “solidarity with the Palestinian struggle as well as a boycott of private prison company G4S and other corporations profiting from Israeli occupation."
“Mutual expressions of solidarity have helped to generate a vigorous political kinship linking black organizers, scholars, cultural workers and political prisoners in the U.S. with Palestinian activists, academics, political prisoners, and artists,” explained accused African-American terrorist and admitted communist Angela Davis, who is featured in the video.
According to reporting by the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, the idea for the video came to Palestinian scholar and organizer Noura Erakat in the summer of 2014 while fighting was going on in Gaza at the same time that the Ferguson uprising was sparked by the death of 18-year-old Michael Brown.
“Palestinians used social media to share their advice [with Ferguson rioters] on how to deal with tear gas and rubber bullets, and protesters chanted ‘From Ferguson to Gaza, we will be free,’” explained Erakat.
However, the ties between the anti-American radical racist Louis Farrakhan and anti-American terrorist regimes in the Middle East go back much further than the summer of 2014.
The late Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi was a strong supporter of Farrakhan’s Nation of Islam and heavily financed Farrakhan’s anti-white racist group. In 1985, Gaddafi affirmed his solidarity with Farrakhan with a $5 million interest-free loan. * (We’re guessing Gaddafi’s estate is unlikely to collect on the debt.)
In 1996, according to reporting by UPI, Farrakhan traveled to Libya and received Gaddafi’s International Prize for Human Rights, a $250,000 “honor” also bestowed on the likes of Fidel Castro, Hugo Chavez, Nicaragua’s Daniel Ortega and “the children of Palestine.”
But guess who accompanied Louis Farrakhan to Libya to meet with Muammar Gaddafi in Tripoli in 1984, even before Farrakhan inked the interest-free loan?
Barack Obama’s “pastor,” the Reverend Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr.
The race-baiting mentor and spiritual advisor to President Barack Obama personally accompanied Farrakhan to Libya to meet with Muammar Gaddafi, at the height of tensions between the Libyan dictator and the United States that ultimately led to Reagan administration’s campaign of economic sanctions against Libya, the Gulf of Sidra incidents, the Libyan bombing of a Berlin disco that killed two Americans, the American bombing of Libya and the Libyan terrorist-backed bombing of Pan Am flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland.
The relationship between anti-American race-war instigators, such as Louis Farrakhan and Jeremiah Wright, and anti-American religious war instigators, such as the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas, and the Palestinian Liberation Organization, isn’t a recently formed alliance.
The two movements have long-shared the same funding and the same goal; the destruction of the United States as the foundational element necessary for the preservation of Western cultural values and constitutional liberty.
What’s changed is that individuals at the highest levels of the United States government, such as the Secretary of the Treasury and the President are now taking steps to dismantle these networks and sources of funding, whereas during the Obama and Biden years they were leaving the doors open, if not actively facilitating them.
As a statement from Treasury explained, the 2026 U.S. Counterterrorism Strategy identifies violent far-left terrorist groups as one of the three major terrorist threats facing the United States today. Building on the State Department’s November 13, 2025 action targeting so-called antifascist groups (“Antifa”) engaged in violent and criminal acts, Treasury is targeting Autistici/Inventati, Palestine Action, and Masar Badil, including two of its senior leaders, as part of a U.S. government-wide effort to protect Americans from the risks posed by far-left terrorism.
As outlined in OFAC’s FAQ 1190, the United States does not sanction persons for engaging in political speech or other constitutionally protected activities. As outlined in E.O. 13224 of September 23, 2001, however, “violent acts and acts dangerous to human life, property, or infrastructure, that appear to be intended to intimidate or coerce a civilian population, or to influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion” are defined as terrorism.
AUTISTICI INVENTATI ENABLES FAR-LEFT TERRORISM
The Autistici Inventati is an Italy-based far-left organization that provides a range of technological tools and services to violent left-wing extremist groups, including website hosting on foreign servers, encrypted email accounts, chat and video conferencing, and digital architecture associated with its “Noblogs” platform. Autistici Inventati identifies itself as an “anti-fascist” and “anti-militarist” organization opposed to capitalism and exclusively provides its services to vetted individuals, collectives, and groups it perceives to be aligned with its ideology, including to sanctioned terrorist organizations such as the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), which has been designated by the United States, United Kingdom, and European Union for its use of terrorist tactics leading to thousands of deaths in Türkiye, Iraq, and Syria since its establishment in 1984.
Autistici Inventati is being designated pursuant to E.O. 13224, as amended, for having materially assisted, sponsored, or provided financial, material, or technological support for, or goods and services to or in support of, an act of terrorism.
PALESTINE ACTION’S SUPPORT TO ACTS OF TERRORISM
The UK-based Palestine Action has supported numerous acts of terrorism since July 2020, including acts that have physically injured UK law enforcement personnel, as well as acts intended to intimidate lawful commercial enterprises and coerce the UK Government. The group’s actions include multiple high-profile instances of breaking into defense infrastructure and British military installations, and causing millions of dollars’ worth of damage to military equipment. Palestine Action has promoted its violent, criminal, and terrorist acts on social media, encouraging the use of similar tactics internationally, including within the United States and along the U.S.-Mexican border.
In July 2025, Palestine Action was proscribed as a terror group pursuant to section 1 of the UK’s Terrorism Act of 2000, criminalizing any UK involvement or support for the organization. Today’s action complements the UK’s proscription.
Palestine Action is being designated pursuant to E.O. 13224, as amended, for having materially assisted, sponsored, or provided financial, material, or technological support for, or goods and services to or in support of, an act of terrorism.
MASAR BADIL AND THE POPULAR FRONT FOR THE LIBERATION OF PALESTINE
Masar Badil is a transnational organization that is also a front for the Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network (Samidoun), which was jointly sanctioned by Canada and the United States on October 15, 2024 for being a front organization that is owned, controlled, or directed by the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), itself a designated Foreign Terrorist Organization since 1997. Masar Badil is inextricably linked with Samidoun, and described by one of its senior leaders as part of the same political project. The organizations share fundraising mechanisms as well as senior leaders and members of their respective Executive Committees, including already-sanctioned individuals Khaled Barakat, Mohammad Khatib, and Jaldia Abubakra, as well as Germany-based Zaid Abdulnasser and Brazil-based Rawa Alsagheer.
Masar Badil is being designated pursuant to E.O. 13224, as amended, for being owned, controlled, or directed by, or having acted or purported to act for or on behalf of, directly or indirectly, the Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network.
Rawa Alsagheer and Zaid Abdulnasser are being designated pursuant to E.O. 13224, as amended, for being leaders or officials of Masar Badil.
SANCTIONS IMPLICATIONS
As a result of Treasury’s action, all property and interests in property of the designated or blocked person described above that are in the United States or in the possession or control of U.S. persons are blocked and must be reported to OFAC. In addition, any entities that are owned, directly or indirectly, individually or in the aggregate, 50 percent or more by one or more blocked persons are also blocked. Unless authorized by OFAC, or exempt, OFAC’s regulations generally prohibit all transactions by U.S. persons or within (or transiting) the United States that involve any property or interests in property of blocked persons.
