Yesterday, President Donald Trump dropped a bombshell on the role of Muslim Sharia law in the United States, saying he would “absolutely” support stopping efforts to establish the Islamic legal code as a competing system of law in America.
Trump made the remarks during an interview with conservative radio host Glenn Beck as questions surrounding Sharia law gain new attention in national politics.
“On Sharia law, I would absolutely say that’s not this country. There’s no Sharia law,” Trump told Beck. “And you do have pockets of it, as you know.”
Trump pointed to major European cities as examples of the disaster wrought by allowing Sharia to supersede local laws and cultural mores.
“I would say no, and you go to London, you go to Paris. It’s almost like a second way of life. It is ridiculous,” Trump said.
The president later made his position even clearer.
“I would absolutely prohibit the Sharia law thing,” Trump said, arguing that the United States should operate under one legal framework.
“You have one system, we have a great system, sometimes it’s very frustrating but it’s the best there is,” Trump added, according to our friends at Big League Politics.

The President’s remarks brought into sharp focus the lies told by Michigan’s Muslim Democratic Socialist Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed during an interview with Jesse Waters on his FOX News program.
“Nobody is trying to push Sharia law on anyone else, just like I hope nobody is trying to push Canon law on anybody else, because we live in an America where you should have the freedom of your religion,” El-Sayed said.
However, the fact is that Muslims across America are trying to push Sharia as an alternative to American constitutional liberty, and one of the most egregious examples happened in El-Sayed’s home state of Michigan.
Under Sharia, by the time they reach puberty, many girls will be subject to genital mutilation, not just in Third World countries, but in Europe and the United States.
In Michigan two Muslim doctors were charged under Michigan law with performing female genital mutilation, the charges were later thrown out by a Democrat judge on the grounds that Sharia religious law superseded the laws of Michigan and the United States.

It is strange that such an argument has never been persuasive for traditional Mormons who wish to engage in their religiously sanctioned practice of “plural marriage,” meaning a man having multiple wives.
Likewise, Muslims cite Sharia when engaged in the practice of child rape by following Mohammad’s example and marrying girls as young as six years old and consummating the marriage when the girl is nine.
This abhorrent practice is routinely ignored by authorities citing Sharia as the justification for allowing little girls to be sex trafficked.
And Muslims do regularly try to impose Sharia on the rest of us by trying to closedown shops selling pork, alcoholic beverages and lottery tickets, as this Texas imam is doing here.
What’s more Sharia specifically deprives women of their constitutional equal protection under law, and there are even lawyers advertising they are Sharia-competent and advising their clients to give away their rights under the Constitution.

Sharia is almost the exact opposite of our Constitution – it criminalizes, with the death penalty, freedom of thought and religion. It enshrines brutality and cruelty in law, cutting off limbs and stoning as punishments for example. And it sanctifies the inequality and oppression of women.
Thank you Mr. President for making clear your position, now let’s follow up and ban Sharia in the United States.
