FAIRNESS is on the Ballot in Virginia
Next week, on Tuesday, April 21, Virginians will vote on a redistricting referendum that would fundamentally reshape our congressional delegation from 6 Democrats and 5 Republicans to 10 Democrats and just 1 Republican.
Democrats claim this is only a temporary measure and that, in time, the process will return to an independent commission. But when do politicians voluntarily give power back once they’ve taken it? George Washington did, and that’s exactly why he’s remembered as one of the greatest Americans to ever live. Let’s be honest: no one in Richmond today is George Washington.
Virginia Democrats, including Governor Spanberger, campaigned on governing from the center, assuring voters they would not follow the path of states like California or New York. Yet their legislative agenda tells a very different story. Instead of easing the burden on families, Democrat lawmakers in Richmond have proposed a wide range of new taxes, attacked the constitutional rights of gun owners, and shut out parents from having a say in their children’s education.
That’s not moderation. It’s a bait-and-switch. THAT’S NOT FAIR – THAT’S LYING.
And now we’re supposed to believe that this redistricting overhaul is a temporary, good-faith effort? Virginians aren’t naïve, and they certainly aren’t blind to how power works. Members of Congress already suffer from some of the lowest approval ratings of any institution in America, yet we’re being asked to trust these same people to act FAIRLY.
They think people won’t notice or won’t push back. They’re wrong.
Here’s what you can do:
- If you live in Virginia: Vote on or before April 21 and vote against this steal.
- Don't go alone: Bring a friend, neighbor, or co-worker with you to the polls.
- Spread the word: Forward this email to everyone you know in Virginia, whether they’re close friends or just on your Christmas card list.
This vote is about more than lines on a map. It’s about whether the rules still apply equally to everyone, or whether those in power can rewrite them when it suits their interests.
Send the Virginia Democrats a message: It’s simply not FAIR to rig the election rules to gerrymander and give the 46% of Virginians who vote Republican only 9% of the congressmen.
