Today’s Secure Freedom Minute with Frank Gaffney: Yesterday, President Trump established by executive order a process for designating “chapters and subdivisions” of the Muslim Brotherhood as foreign terrorist organizations. For those of us deeply concerned about this group’s metastasizing enabling of sharia-supremacism globally, this is welcome news.
That said, the President’s stated concerns about the threat the Brotherhood poses overseas to U.S. nationals and interests apply, if anything, even more to the many millions of us who can be harmed by the organization’s vast numbers of radical clerics, mosques, front groups and terrorist cells operating in this country.
So, will Mr. Trump’s 30-day tasking to the Secretaries of State and Treasury “concerning the designation of any Muslim Brotherhood chapters or other subdivisions, including those in Lebanon, Jordan, and Egypt, as foreign terrorist organizations” allow for the threat the Brothers pose domestically to be addressed, as well?
It absolutely must.
