In yesterday’s BanSharia.com press conference CHQ Managing Editor George Rasley urged Texas Governor Greg Abbott and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to implement a moratorium on new mosque construction.
The press conference was a follow-up to a just-released open letter to Governors Greg Abbott of Texas and Ron DeSantis of Florida urging a moratorium on new mosque construction.
The signatories – thirty-three leaders of patriotic organizations across the country – commend the two men for correctly designating the Brotherhood as a “terrorist organization.”
Having done so, the signers believe it is not only prudent, but mandatory, that the organization’s so-called “masjids” and those of others who share the Brothers’ determination to “destroy Western civilization from within” be investigated.
Specifically, the letter calls for the Governors to evaluate whether such facilities are being used – as they have been since the time of Mohammed (for more on this unbroken and odious history, view the BanSharia.com 2-minute “micro-documentary” here and its two webinars here and here) to prepare for and support violent jihad. They also urge Governors Abbott and DeSantis to declare moratoriums in their states on the approval of additional mosques at least until those investigations are completed.
Highlights of CHQ Editor George Rasley’s comments during the press conference:
CHQ EDITOR GEORGE RASLEY: In the course of reviewing hundreds of videos that were collected from Islamic leaders, imams, front group leaders, it's quite clear that mosques serve as the headquarters of a seditious conspiracy to subvert the Constitution.
All you have to do is listen to what they say.
Most of these mosques have some connection with the Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR, which have been designated by the governors of Texas and the government of Florida as terrorist organizations.
And in my view, although they claim to be civil rights organizations for Muslims, both are civil rights organizations for Muslims in the same way that the Ku Klux Klan is a civil rights organization for white people.
And mosques, as the center of this seditious conspiracy, have no special immunity or exemption from government scrutiny.
And you can just ask how claims of religious exemption worked out for the Branch Davidians in Waco, Texas, the Church Universal and Triumphant in Gardner, Montana, various so-called white Christian nationalists and old order Mormons who are now mostly either dead or in prison, despite their claims of religious exemption.
In Florida, and this is crucial, there are credible reports of gunfire coming from a mosque not far away from my home, and it was treated like a noise complaint instead of a national security issue.
Likewise, it tells you everything you need to know that a new Islamic center just up the road from my home in Florida was named for the so-called blind sheikh; Omar Abdel Rahman, the man behind the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center.
And I'll wrap up by making an observation about what's going on in France right now.
It's telling that in the wave of destruction that's consumed that country, churches have been attacked, synagogues have been attacked, government buildings have been burned and destroyed, legacy industries and retail establishments in Paris and other cities have been burned and destroyed and looted, but no mosques have been attacked.
And so, I invite the viewers of this program and anyone who may have questions about it to see some of our programs that are up on bansharia.com where you can see some of the videos of these Muslim leaders, imams directing their followers to subvert the Constitution of the United States and to engage in this seditious conspiracy right from the pulpit of the so-called religious institutions.
FRANK GAFFNEY: Could you talk a little bit about this idea of trying to peacefully undo what inroads have been made by the Sharia supremacists?
CHQ EDITOR GEORGE RASLEY: Yeah, Frank. Well, thank you for reminding me of that. And our audience should be aware that we are trying to do something that's never been done in 1400 years, which is to defeat Islam through peaceful democratic means.
It's never happened.
This is a war, as Eddie's pointed out, that started about 1400 years ago.
But in the United States, we've been at war with Islam in one form or another, not just for the last six months or so in the current war to stop Iran's nuclear weapons program. We've been at war with Iran for almost 50 years in the war that they declared on us as soon as the Islamic theocracy took over the country.
But we've also been at war with Islam more generally for about 225 years when the Barbary pirates were enslaving American merchants and sailors sailing through the Mediterranean.
And that's where we get the shores of Tripoli and the Marine Corps hymn.
This is not new, but for some reason, many of our leaders have chosen to ignore the threat.
We've found now that they not only ignored it, but they've imported it.
I mean, it's astonishing to think that on 9/11, there are about a half a million Muslims in the United States.
Today, there are, according to different estimates, someplace between five and seven million.
A huge percentage, if not the majority, are Sharia compliant.
We have to recognize that this battle is one that's going to be started and won at the grassroots political level because too many of our leaders in the immediate past have been either ignorant of the problem or are frankly on the other side.
FRANK GAFFNEY: George, could you speak as a seriously experienced political operative to how this works, electoral jihad piece in particular, again, now far advanced in your but clearly in the elections that will be held two weeks from tomorrow, very much operating as well, at least in some constituencies, even if Muslims are not on the ballot.
CHQ EDITOR GEORGE RASLEY: I mean, and this is a perfect example of why EPIC City is such a threat. The political strategy is really quite simple: concentrate a population of Muslims in a given area. Drive out the other people, the call to prayer being one of the most useful tools in that.
People simply don't want to be aroused from their slumbers at five o'clock in the morning if they're not planning on going to the mosque or facing Mecca.
Then a majority is concentrated into a political district, be it a city council district, a county commission district, a state legislative district, or a congressional district, as we see in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
And suddenly they're able to either elect a Sharia compliant Muslim or elect a fellow traveler or useful idiot as we've seen in various places in Texas, gain political power, begin to slowly implement Sharia in that political subdivision that they've gained power in.
And again, this is not something that they're keeping secret.
They talk about it.
Guess where?
In the mosque.
And so, this is how it works.
It's a tactic that's worked for them very well, and as Eddie pointed out, in Dearborn, Michigan, New York, in Minnesota, and it's being imported into Texas.
While they haven't got it quite as far advanced in Florida as it is in other places, there are places where it's beginning to potentially work, for example, in areas of Tampa.
FRANK GAFFNEY: George, a final question to you.
We're having this conversation in the aftermath of the publication recently of an article in the Texas Monthly, which takes Governor Abbott and Attorney General Ken Paxton to task for having raised a number of questions and done some investigations into this EPIC City mosque.
What we're proposing in terms of the investigation of the implications of not just this mosque in East Plano and not just the city that it still aspires to build, a Muslim-only Sharia adherent, ultimately no-go zone, make no mistake about it, folks, but also counterparts to that Masjid elsewhere across the state, brotherhood or otherwise.
But The purpose of those investigations is not just, as I said earlier, trying to make sure that there were not security fraud issues or zoning violations or other problems with the local ordinances.
We're talking about public safety.
We're talking about national security.
Those issues have not been investigated, it appears.
That certainly has not been sufficiently pursued, as Doug Deaton's testimony makes clear, to mitigate the clear and present danger associated with this particular mosque complex, and is true of others, assuredly.
Your final thoughts, sir, on the importance of this additional investigative activity and not least ensuring that more of these kinds of threats to public safety and national security are put into place before we understand the implications they have.
CHQ EDITOR GEORGE RASLEY: There are two different issues, Frank.
One is the national security implications of what goes on at these mosques and they are centers or rallying points, if you will, for potential military action. And certainly, as centers of this seditious conspiracy to subvert the Constitution that I alluded to before.
But these other investigations are all perfectly legitimate.
There's a lot of evidence that there are financial irregularities associated with these not-for-profit organizations which are associated with the Islamic movement here in America and so I don't dismiss those other investigations, I encourage them.
But we have to recognize that one is not dependent upon the other.
I hope that the state of Texas and the state of Florida will look into potential financial crimes that are associated with this. And, you know, we can look at what's gone on in Minneapolis, Minnesota, for example, as a model of what's likely been happening in other places.
But our concern today and the focus of our letter was the national security implications of this seditious conspiracy and the role that mosques play as centers of that conspiracy.
