And thus I feel about the passing of my oldest living friend, Dr. Lee Edwards, who went to his heavenly reward December 12, 2024. In the summer of 1961, I went to New York City to become the Executive Secretary of Young Americans for Freedom (YAF). Lee was a founding member of YAF in 1960 and a member of the Board of Directors. Thus began a lifelong, deep, and strong friendship.
