The Minnesota Republican Convention is fast approaching and North Star State Republicans have one of the best opportunities to flip a U.S. Senate seat from Democrat to Republican in their state’s open Senate election – if they choose the right candidate.
Our take is the three top contenders are retired Navy SEAL Adam Schwarze, FOX TV personality Michelle Tafoya, with Royce White, the 2024 Republican nominee for U.S. Senate and former NBA player also in the mix.
Of the three Adam Schwarze is the clear conservative choice, and the strongest candidate to take the fight to – and defeat – whichever of the Far-Left candidates the Democrats nominate, most likely Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan.
Adam Schwarze is a native son of Minnesota, an athletic working family kid, who, on his 18th birthday in October 2001, just weeks after 9/11, joined the Marine Corps and later became a Navy SEAL. He deployed nine times to over 70 countries, risking his life to defend the Constitution and the American way of life.
Along the way he earned a Master’s from Harvard, a Johns Hopkins certificate in Security and Nuclear Deterrence, and an MBA.
Forged in the crucible of war, and the highly selective and demanding discipline of the SEALs, Adam Schwarze has proven himself to have the brains and commitment to conservative principles to see – and defeat – the Democrats and the blandishments of the DC Uniparty.
And, most importantly, he is running his campaign on a solid agenda of unabashedly conservative issues and a grassroots-up strategy.
Schwarze has largely ignored his Republican opponents, concentrating his fire on the Minnesota Democrats and their failed policies that have wrecked what used to be a state with the best quality of life in America.

As Adam Schwarze observed in a recent conversation with CHQ, under the Democrats, led by Governor Tim Walz and likely Democrat Senate nominee Lt. Governor Peggy Flanagan, Minnesota has been destroyed by the radical Leftist policies that fueled the violent 2020 unrest in Minneapolis, defunded the police, and burdened hardworking families with higher taxes and crushing inflation. While Minnesota cities burned, Flanagan and the Democrats pushed lawsuits against law enforcement, undermining the cops on the street that keep everyday Minnesotans safe.
Adam further pointed out this is just the first step, if Leftwing radicals like Peggy Flanagan become the majority in the U.S. Senate, they’ll gain unstoppable momentum to push their extreme national agenda across the country: open borders, abolishing ICE and the police, boys in girls’ sports, attacks on free enterprise, and even advancing a growing pro-Hamas Muslim movement right here in America.
To win the Republican nomination Adam Schwarze has taken his campaign on the road and built a real grassroots army - driving from county to county to introduce his campaign to grassroots Republican activists and leaders. Rather than relying on being selected by DC insiders he’s doing the hard work of putting together a people-oriented ground game - long days, tons of events - meeting as many potential voters as possible.
And the results speak for themselves: In recent months Adam Schwarze has won nearly all of the straw polls conducted by local Republican organizations across Minnesota. These straw poll victories tell us that Minnesota’s conservative activists want an unabashedly conservative GOP Senate nominee who will take the fight to the Democrats in Minnesota AND the Uniparty when he gets to Washington, DC.
How a candidate conceptualizes their campaign strategy is important, and looking back over our 50+ years in conservative politics, the record of media personality candidates, such as Michelle Tafoya, of actually winning elections is pretty slim, and their record of actually advancing the conservative agenda when elected is even slimmer. That is another reason we believe Adam Schwarze, with his conservative activist grassroots-based campaign, is the right candidate to win November’s general election and defeat whichever radical Leftist the Democrats nominate.
Minnesota’s Republican State Convention will be conducted May 29-30 in Duluth. We urge delegates to the convention to endorse Adam Schwarze – the conservative choice – as their candidate for U.S. Senate.
