Craig Shirley: It’s Time To Reign In The Out Of Control IRS

Some years ago, an angry man in Texas flew his airplane into the offices of the Internal Revenue Service. His name was Andrew Joseph Stack III. He was a 53-year-old software consultant.

At the time, many people lamented how this could happen. I didn't.

My reaction was, first, what did the IRS do to so anger this poor man that he would take his life into his hands? And secondly, it would send a good message to other government bureaucrats to watch their step and not abuse the citizenry who pays their salaries.

Government and bureaucrats should quake in fear at the citizenry. That's the way it is supposed to be. That is the way the Framers designed the system.

A perversion has taken place, unfortunately, in the last several years. It is citizens who quake in fear at government officials when it should be the other way around. They should go to work every day imagining the foot of America is on their necks and all any of us have to do is apply pressure, snap their necks, snuffing out their corrupt bureaucracies.

Besides, is an IRS employee truly a human being or just a maggot in the trash can of Washington?

Can you imagine what this scum has written in their obituaries? I worked for the IRS? WHAT A WORTHLESS EXISTANCE.

Notice how in the Bible that tax collectors are always listed with the scum of humanity? With the beggars and thieves and reprobates? Let’s face it, IRS agents are the leprosy of human existence. Imagine how IRS agents list their occupation in their obituaries? My God, what an embarrassment! It’s telling the world of your worthless existence.

I know of one instance when a man paid over $50,000 in taxes and the IRS did not even record it! There was no record of the IRS having received the taxes.

Even worse, when a small business inadvertently does not file a quarterly return, you know what? THE IRS JUST MAKES UP AN AMOUNT OWED! THEY MAKE IT UP!

I know of one worthless IRS bureaucrat out of many, Sean Combs. Does not answer the phone, does not answer e-mails? Total loser. Total scum. In fact, nobody at the IRS is accountable for anything.

Benjamin Franklin once said, “In this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes.”

This was echoed, in a more defensive way, by the French minister of finance under the Sun King Louis XIV. The 17th century minister to the king whose absolute rule and status as the sole inheritor of the state once said, “The art of taxation consists in so plucking the goose as to obtain the largest amount of feathers with the least amount of hissing.”

As Thomas Jefferson said, “When government fears the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny.”

Americans have been plucked enough and maybe it is time for some more airplanes to crash into IRS offices.
