The City Council of Jacksonville, Florida, has passed a first of its kind ordinance criminalizing illegal entry and allocating funds for 25 portable fingerprint scanners. Jacksonville’s Democrat Mayor Donna Deegan objected to the bill but allowed it to become law without her signature because she did not see a clear path to sustaining a veto. Yesterday’s Consumer Price Index report revealed inflation fell to 2.4% in March, smashing expectations for the second straight month, posting the first drop in consumer prices in several years. Even CNN was forced to admit, “This was actually a DROP of .1% — that's the first time we've seen that since COVID." Year-over-year, the annual inflation rate was at 2.4%. Read More.

J.G.G.) ruled by a vote of 5 to 4 that a district judge in D.C. did not have jurisdiction to issue temporary restraining orders that barred the Trump administration from deporting Venezuelan nationals that it believed to be members of the Tren de Aragua gang. FLASH: President Donald Trump rejected suggestions from European Union (EU) officials of a zero-for-zero tariffs deal with the U.S. on certain sectors, such as autos and industrial goods. Reacting to the offer Trump told reporters: "No, it's not [good enough]. The EU has been very tough over the years."
